  • Javier wasn't interesting.

Well, even though this might be an unpopular opinion, and I'm sure Clementine will be the new protag, I don't think she should be the playab

  • Hell yea!! of course then Clem will be tall enough,i think, like a Javi but as Javi's good too beacause He's cool and Clem too so Yea!

  • xD

Clem playable in S2 - fans don't like it Clem not playable in S3 - fans don't like it Clem possibly playable in S4 - fans like it

  • YES YES YES

What Garcias? The whole family line is dead now except Javi lol. So much for the lesson of family this season was gonna be about.

No. Make her playable in a DLC in addition to season 3, so haters get what they want - a playable Clementine. Then: some of us want more Garcias!

  • Last time I checked the last season was javier's story, while the first was Lee's. the only real season that has been clem's story was season 2, unless you want to count flashbacks.

Last time I checked Walking Dead was Clementine's story, not Javier's. Besides, most of the Garcia's are either dead or determinant, which means they'll die in Season 4.

The staff confirmed that S1 was more about Clementine than Lee and the series is about her growing up in the apocalypse.

Javier is a family man so since most of his family is dead in some playthroughs (like mine b/c Gabe and David are dead) what else can his character do besides just being there next season?

I restarted the series this weak and just finished season 1 maybe half an hour ago, clementine barely speaks all that much and doesn't get involved much with the group. Besides, season 1 is about lee trying to protect clementine and we are with him throughout the entire season, while clem goes and runs off or either is out of the way. And literally everyone that come knows is dead aside from javier and whoever survived season 3. I remember people saying the same about season 2: Clem's story has ended and so should the walking dead. Now people have all of a sudden changed their minds? The Garcia's can just decide to leave Richmond to help clementine look for AJ that's where they can fit in.

  • Then you probably need to replay it. It is all about Clementine...saving her..helping her grow the skills needed to live.

The main thing Telltale wanted you to do in S1 was to help Clementine prepare for the apocalypse and teach her the right and wrong of the new world. Before S1 was over, Telltale started to use the hashtag #ForClementine for marketing to get players to care for her, the same with #MyClementine for S2. They didn't use #ForLee for S1 or #MyJavier for NF. Clementine is a fan favorite and the main, major character in the series, the only original one from S1. It wouldn't feel right if they just shove Javier in the story and say "It's this guy's story too". It's like creating 3 or 4 stories about Superman but in the 3rd one, having DC decide to place Jimmy Olsen in his story and say "Oh, this is Jimmy's story too, even if you Have no idea who he is."

Now, I'm not saying this season isn't about Javier, because it is. That's why most fans don't like New Frontier because they introduced a new playable character who we have no idea about instead of Clementine. We've been through so much with her, why should we care about this new guy and his family?

I'm not a Javier hater, I thought he was a cool guy this season. His whole character is that he's a family man and now that he's with said family in Richmond, what else can his character do? If his family dies in S4, which they probably will, he'll just be there with no purpose besides just being a companion to Clementine.

  • They had Lee so it might be possible emulate a character similar to him unless Javier was already that failed attempt. Because Javi was nowhere near as interesting as Lee.

  • What's that? I couldn't hear you!

Season 2 was a clusterfuck, and one of the reasons - perhaps not the most major one, though - was that Clementine was the protagonist, and she was just an 11-year-old.

She was the most badass 11-year-old who ever lived. You're dismissing her the same way Carlos dismissed her. If Telltale had put more effort into making Javi an engaging protagonist along the same lines as Lee, your argument would have more weight. But they didn't. By trying to appeal to the "newcomers" through Javi, all Telltale succeeded in doing was alienate the fans who were there to watch the next chapter in Clem's story.

Besides, Clem will probably be a full-on teenager by the time we catch up with her again, so any complaints about "fanservice" will immediately fall flat on their face.

It's the cycle of gaming. 1st game: Alot of people love it, fanbase gets established 2nd game: Not the first game, so it is terrible

  • Bruh Clementine is the only character that is guaranteed to be in every season. In the bigger picture it really is Clem's story told through different perspectives.

  • Yeah... cos season 3 wasn't about javier and his family, looking for justice for mariana's murder and trying to rescue Richmond was it? (Sarcasm) while clementine's was just look for AJ which she barely did until the last minute.

  • I said in the "bigger picture" big boy. Just because Javi got his own little season doesn't mean telltales the walking dead is mainly about him. Season 3 was just setting up javis character and Richmond.
