Just thought of something.
So we know that Lingard left AJ at the ranch. But it wouldn't make much sense if he left him by himself. Someone has been taking care of AJ.
But who? I had an idea about it.
Mike and Bonnie.
I mean, it would be cool right?

I guess, though I don't know why it'd be them considering Mike wanted to go in the opposite direction and while they aren't anywhere near evil or even as asshole-ish as they are sometimes seen, I'm not sure any of those three would actively want to raise a baby--let alone AJ.
Hmm I'm not sure about that theory. For one, Bonnie has a detriment death, so her being seen again is unlikely. As for Mike, I just don't really think it fits as he was willing to leave without AJ or Clementine and all the supplies for them with Arvo and possibly Bonnie....I just can't see him being the person to step up and raise a kid after he pulled that. Plus I am sure he would recognize him or his name? I feel like it would be weird overall. There are a few other characters with alive/unknown status that would maybe be more fitting if they were to bring back an old character in my opinion.
And sorry I am just drawing a blank, @DabigRG where exactly did Mike want to go? I forget and I'm just curious. I don't remember him mentioning where he was headed.
"I say we go to Texas!" He was likely just throwing around ideas of where else they can go since Wellington seemed like an unlikely deal at the time, but heading South is indeed a smart thing to do considering it was a very cold winter up North.
And as far as we're told, Arvo didn't direct him to Wellington(though this is a product of both possibly overhearing that's where Kenny wanted to go and Mike originally being determinate himself) and Mike was the leader of that Defecting Trio, so Texas was likely their intended destination regardless.
