Final Season Hopes and Theories Discussion Thread
Telltale has announced their fourth and final season of The Walking Dead, it has been announced that we will be playing as Clementine again, and the plan is for it to come out during the first half of 2018. This Thread is for discussing your hopes and theories for this last season.
Examples:
Theory
- Joan/Clint Will have some form of a role in this last season or at least make an appearance.
Hopes
One thing that I thought was cool about playing as Clem in season 2 was the fact that as opposed to Lee and Javier she was a young girl who obviously didn't have the strength of a full grown man and thus had to rely a lot more on being resourceful and using her surroundings to her advantage. In this season I hope we get some good fight scenes where Clem will have to make use of the objects around her to stay alive.
I would love for Telltale to include puzzles similar to season 1 an example of this could be Clem being cornered by walkers forced to barricade herself in a room and having limited time to find an escape route like a vent or window and finding something to pry open the vent or break the window.
Hopefully we will get several moments where we get to walk around and have conversations with the new characters to get to know and build up relationships.
It would be interesting to meet a new character who serves as a mentor to Clementine similar to Lee, Kenny, and Jane. Who sharpens clementine's combat skills as well as teaching her how to hunt, track or some other valuable survival skill. It also would be interesting to see a character who has a lot of doubt for Clementine seeing how young she is and is more of an annoying character at first glance but as the season unfolds they realize that they were wrong about Clementine and become a very likable character.
I would like to see a few more flashbacks of Clem's time in the New Frontier like a flash back that sheds more light on how choosing to accept or reject Ava's offer played out, but I won't be that upset if it doesn't happen. On the topic of flashbacks I think it would be awesome for the game to start out with a flashback that shows how the very first moment of the apocalypse was like for Clem where she was with her babysitter Sandra and her house was attacked by walkers and she had to run up to her tree house. Again I won't be that upset if this doesn't happen.
I would like to see a post apocalyptic town similar to Prescott but far more messed up, where there is no law what so ever and there are many shady residents. Thus this is a very dangerous experience for Clem because she is a young girl and thus a much bigger target than the average person who travels through there.
- I heard that slavery was a theme in early development of ANF, there was also a cut slaughter house, It would make an amazing arc for Clementine to get captured by a sadistic group who runs a slaughter house and captures survivors as slaves. The residents of McCarol Ranch could have been captured by this faction along with AJ or the McCarol ranch could have been the slaughter house all along. I don't know I just thought this would make for an outstanding story arc.
Seeing that this is the last season I hope there are multiple branched out endings like in season 2.
Comments
Please Telltale make a new rendition of Alive Inside Similar to the one in this video for the main theme of this season. I don't even call it Alive Inside anymore to me it is Clementine's Theme.
Damn, that's pretty nice..... I like how slow and sincere the music is. It's fitting for a somber and emotional ending.
After watching Batman: Enemy Within Ep.1, I hope Final Season will have the new feature of: Your relationship with (blank) has changed.
Oh man, I hate final seasons, I don't think I will be strong enough to play it.
