If you went with Kenny and left Wellington: On a cold night, 2 years later after the events of Season 2. Clementine, AJ and Kenny are around a unlit campfire. Clementine and Kenny talk about previous characters that they have lost along the way of their journey. There is a hub around the campfire where you can pick AJ up, speak to Kenny and collect wood to start a campfire. Kenny states that he has had suicidal thoughts, Clementine can hug him and comfort him. The next day, the trio arrive at a gas station. Clementine, has a hub to collect supplies from the gas station whilst Kenny is trying to fix a car. Kenny fixes the car, which makes a lot of noise and attracts a small herd of walkers. Clementine finishes her supply stop in the gas station with AJ on her back, she opens the gas station door and the walkers are surrounding the car, Clementine attacks and kills most of the small herd. The car door is locked so Clementine smashes the window but a walker grabs Kenny out a window and devours him. Clementine pulls a bit of class out of her forehead, which leaves a scar. Clementine mourns over Kenny, but he is still alive, Clementine can have the choice to give the gun to Kenny to end his suffering or let Clementine do it herself. She and AJ leave in the sunset, saddened about their close friend. (Around 13 minutes long)
If you went alone with AJ:
- One year later after the events of Season 2. On one hot day, Clementine is on the road with AJ, with no supplies. The pair are extremely ill. They suddenly stumble on a gas station (the same gas station if you went with Kenny). There would be a hub where Clementine grabs supplies for both of them and she can look outside the gas station. Clementine is at the back of the gas station to see a zombified woman that looks like her mum, it appears she wrote a note before she died. Clementine cry’s as this reminds her of the voice message, her mum said on the phone in her house. She can either shoot her in the head to end her suffering or leave her to roam. Clementine collects AJ from the station and head out with their supplies. When they walk out of the door a walker surprises her and slammed the door whilst her finger was on it. AJ falls, Clementine screaming. The walker goes towards AJ, Clementine will have to kill the walker. She runs with a first aid kit and smashes her finger in 2 slices with her pocket knife. Clementine quickly mourns her corpse and flees as it stops snowing. (Around 23 minutes long)
What would you change about Clementine’s flashbacks?
Comments
Idk exactly how id do it but Edith, Jane and Kenny are all missing, not dead. That way the people you SAVED are still ALIVE. Just the way it should be
On the Flashbacks about the season 2 characters id just have them missing instead of dead but there s something id have added to the First Flashback with Ava if you Refuse you are later confronted By Badger and Lonnie who threaten to kill AJ unless Clem joins their Group after Clem is forced to accept the offer Badger tells her that No Word of this is gonna make it out of here or he swears he will Put a bullet in her and the Baby s head.
The game then cuts to a scene where you Arrive with Badger and Lonnie at a Camp where Ava is close to a fire being surprised that Clem Changed her Mind and asking why she did so Clem then comes up with a Lie about what happened and the flashback ends.
I'd have changed how Kenny died, what life was like with Jane if you either let in the family or turned them away, kept Edith alive, put in the scrapped Sandra and Lee flashbacks, and added ones for the numbered time skips in Starved for Help, All That Remains, and A House Divided. Maybe even for the last two S2 episodes.
I always thought we should have gotten a s2 flashback in every episode, culminating in Kenny/Jane/Wellington's death reveal in episode 5. Or maybe revealed that they aren't dead.
Kenny would never even think about suicide. In S1Ep5 Kenny expressed his thoughts on suicide and how he doesn't agree with it at all.
Episode 1:
Clementine falls asleep at Prescott. She's taken back to the time when everything all started. On the floor, she's playing tic-tac-toe with her favourite babysitter, Sandra. Clementine's winning. Sandra's insisting that she's letting her win. They're both laughing.
After a few rounds, Clementine goes to the phone to call her parents, as per-usual. The phone isn't working. Sandra chuckles before taking the phone, "You're probably putting in the wrong number."
She presses in a few numbers and holds the phone up against her ear. Her eyebrow perches up as she puts the phone back down. "Hmph. No connection. We'll try again after dinner, yeah?"
Clementine nods and the two sit on the couch. Sandra's tempted to put on the news but Clementine isn't allowed to watch it. All of a sudden, a loud thump hits from behind the door. Sandra eventually gets up with a smile, "That must be the pizza man."
This was the first time Clementine ever saw a 'walker.' This one looked completely normal - a little pale, but not too sickly. When the man tumbled on top of Sandra, she frantically yelled at Clementine to call 911. Clem bolted towards the phone to call the police, but the phone wouldn't work. It was still making weird noises.
After 3 failed attempts, Clementine ran towards the odd man and pushed him off her babysitter. It worked - but Clementine got grabbed instead. Sandra kicked the man off her and instructed Clementine to hide in her tree-house. She confusedly nodded before bolting off. She grabbed her walkie-talkie from the table before heading up.
Clementine covered her ears to block out the shouting from below. She hugged the walkie-talkie tightly to her chest and buried her head into her knees. She had always hated it in her tree-house; it was cold, dark and full of spider-webs. But at this point, she didn't want to leave.
When things finally went silent, Clementine hesitantly climbed back down from her tree-house with trembling legs. She opened the slider door and called out for her babysitter. No response. She called out for her again. Still nothing. The front door was wide-open, so she anxiously walked over to close it. The odd man from before didn't seem to be here anymore.
She turns around and see's a bloodied figure on her kitchen floor. Clementine's weeping at this point; she thinks she's in a nightmare. As she walks closer to the silhouette, it becomes clear who it is. Sandra. Her face is pale and her eyes are bloodshot. The blood staining the floor is coming from her.
"I'm okay, Clementine." She tried reassuring the little girl. "Does the phone work yet?"
She shakes her head and stutters, "N-No." Clementine kneels down, "All the neighbours are gone too. What is happening?"
"I don't know." Sandra whimpered, "Until we get more information, grab your school backpack, fill it up with food and stay in your tree-house until the police come."
"What about you?" Clementine asked.
"I don't feel too well." She coughed. "I'm gonna stay in here - make sure no one else breaks in."
Clem nodded hesitantly before heading back up to her tree-house. She eventually falls asleep with her walkie-talkie grasped tightly in her hand.
Then bam. She wakes up back in Prescott.
Kenny's demise was just too damn sordid and anticlimactic. You could argue how the world of TWD is an ugly, horrible place where people die ignominious deaths all the time, but Kenny was too much of a force of nature to go out with a whimper instead of a bang.
For example, try to imagine if Telltale had Kenny sacrifice himself to save Clem and AJ by blowing up an entire gas station (or something along those lines) after getting bitten multiple times. If Telltale had stretched itself just a little further to give Kenny a more spectacular sendoff, the subsequent backlash wouldn't have been nearly as intense. Anyone remember how Will Smith took out the zombies in the theatrical ending of "I Am Legend?" Substitute Smith with Kenny, and you'll get the idea:
If you are writing flashbacks, why would you kill Jane and Kenny like ever? They don't deserve to die in a flashback.
