Do you think they will create a new TWD franchise?
Separate from Clementine's story completely. Obviously in the same world, but without the pressure of keeping her story going now that they feel it's ready to be ended?
Like say something they did with Javier, and then keeping that going for another 3-4 seasons free to create a new story for us to become a part of and see progress....
Or are they just going to can the TWD thing and be done with it now they have other hot properties they can work with?

Well, it is the same franchise - I think what you mean to say is perhaps something closer to that of a new "story arc". But, yeah, Job's comments in recent interviews seem to hint that - despite the title - it's more so the "last" Clementine-focused Season than it is the "last" actual Season altogether.
Job did say the fact that they are ending Clem’s story does not necessarily mean it’s the end of TWD - so maybe.
Yes, sorry. I meant a new character to follow. Starting from scratch in that world. But that's really neat!
I wonder If they do one set In the AMC world.
I would doubt so - that would probably be too confusing for most people for Telltale to have two different "Walking Dead" universes
They did with ANF, but everyone here was like "but mah Clem, 2/10".
Without question, this series is too big of a money maker for them.
Keep the tears rolling, wah where's your Xavier?
Of course. They could. But I've I got the game, series, and a tv spinoff to keep track off. Once the real game ends it, I'll gladly go back to the two I can easily watch rather than the Javier Qte fest. I wasted so much time watching that useless asshole die when they breached the gate because I was on my phone, its not even funny.
I think the problem was the marketing of Clem who was in more marketing than Javi...and of course the lie about the first episode...that did not get people on their side.
Yeah they will. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had their new story be focused back on Javier since some people actually liked his character.
The worst thing they can do is have Javier be the main character again but have Clem be a minor character since her story is “over”.
I wouldn’t mind them doing a game or two set in the AMC verse. Get a few actors from the show reprise their characters like what Telltale did in Game of Thrones.
You know what, I've had enough of this
Let me outline something to you-- Stop pouring gasoline on the fire. You randomly swooping in every few months/weeks to heckle people that don't like ANF isn't helping anything. Quite frankly, you're becoming just as annoying as they are... and that's really saying something.
Not sure where they can go. Not saying they should, or shouldn't. Just not sure what the next installment would be about. I mean if they can get bored(for lack of a better word) with Clem and her story. How could they revamp it? What would it be about?
You're definitely a headache.
If they do make a new Walking Dead game with new characters i think it would be really interesting if they set it in a different country to see how other places are coping with the apocalypse. They would obviously need to get permission from Robert Kirkman but if they did it could be fun to see how countries with tighter gun control cope without access to as many guns.
We’ll telltale has constantly did say it’s the end of Clem’s story. Like your post says I would love if they did at least a mini series with Javier. Or maybe a mini series/dlc about the missing characters like Lilly, and Christa.
...who's Xavier?
Some people have said the same about you.
I've had...in other places where the criticisms are...well criticisms. Not nitpicks disguised as criticisms based on bias that people here won't own up to.
...so just like you guys then :P
Nope. I'm sorry that I find humor in most people's hyperbolic reactions toward this game, and calling them out on it. Its not my fault they make the same thread about why they didn't like ANF over and over and over and over again, even though its been almost 4 months since that game's been done.
The Walking Dead Michonne Season 2 ?

And yet, here YOU are, still claiming that we dislike ANF b/c is lacks Clem, even though we have told you over and over how that is not the soul reason, and how that doesn't even scratch the surface. Maybe if you listened the first time we wouldn't have to repeat ourselves.
You complain when people don't make detailed posts about why they don't like ANF, saying they give no constructive criticism, yet you still complain about the threads that people make over and over to tell you, in detail, WHY they don't like ANF...
You're almost as inconsistent as the writing in ANF.
Expecting Kirkman to ever allow anyone to advance the setting of the TWD universe and remove the franchise from the staleness it's in right now? Doesn't seem likely. He won't let anyone tackle on a cure or at least some movement fighting for that cure. He won't let anyone tackle on government remnants or anything of sorts. He limited tremendously the liberty amc had on tackling on the military's response to the apocalypse and probably forced them to find a way to eradicate it completely as it was. He won't let anyone's story even get out of America. He is seriously one of the most unambitious popular writers there is and the comics for the past few years have shown nothing but his intent on keeping the same set of characters fight antagonist after antagonist without ever going anywhere but... that. It just isn't entertaining anymore.
Pretty much. They set up the intention of focusing on both with just a little more emphasis on new guy Javier, then Clementine was relegated to flashbacks at some point, then they just decided to focus on the Garcia dynamic but had to keep/put Clementine in somehow because people were already expecting her--Oops!
And that's why Thicker than Water and especially From the Gallows are the way they are.
Most likely, your question should be like "Does TWD franchise should has another perspectives to the story?".
Anyway, I dont think there should be another versions because this franchise has been living for so long and Kirkman somehow managed to keep the franchise alive for around 15 years for comics and 8 years for TV. Game version is alive for 5 years and I think it is becoming harder and harder to keep the same quality after a time. New Frontier is the perfect example. Introducing a new character instead of focusing Clementine was kind of an effort for having a different view of new season but that failed so hard because most of the fans are frustrated because most of them play this season because of Clementine factor. I mean, for one, I dont have any problem with Javier but I think he should be the one that side character not Clem.
So, trying to have another perspectives to the story is not working anymore because after a time, you will out of ideas so you have to re-use the contents that you have been use which is making the story boring because of the same content has been serving to the fans again and again. I dont think there should be another versions. Fans already faced with an awesome season 1, a season 2 that we can consider good but not super awesome. Sometimes you have to finish it like it needs to be.

I don't really want to see anymore TWDG without Clementine. Honestly I hope the Final Season is just that: The Final Season. Otherwise it seems silly calling it that.
If the problem with A New Frontier was that Clem wasn't the main character and was barely in it... then the idea of doing a final game with her to end the series on makes sense. But if they're going to keep pushing out more TWDG games after, then it sounds more like they're making a game to get Clem out of the picture for good just to focus on even more new people. I mean what are they going to do, make a Clem 2.0 and start from scratch? Maybe a new cast could work if they did it right, but aside for 400 Days I haven't cared for any other tales without Clem involved, and a chunk of the stuff with Javi's family didn't leave me invested as much as I thought I'd be. That's the problem with Clementine, they've made us care about her so much it will be difficult to, dare I say it 'replace her'
If there is anymore TWDG, it's best if they just leave for 3 to 5 years or more, and come back when there's more added to the TWD timeline and they've had more time themselves to think about it. When Final Season is done, they should just focus on other their other games like The Wolf Among Us.
And they did absolutely nothing new with Barcelona's status. The country, the government and the military still all somehow fell entirely. Point stands.
Yes, and I'd personally like a reboot. Clem's story would have ended better at Season 2, but we'll see if this Fourth Season can give some good closure or finality to her story.
Season 1 was meant to be a stand-alone product.* Season 2 continued off of it fairly fine, but the direction in which characters went was mis-handled. Season 3 was an interesting way of introducing new characters, and trying out new scenarios of characters, but didn't feel too connected to the events of previous seasons. It really felt like a small speed bump in Clementine's story, and given that she's going further and further from Richmond, I don't know if we'll see them again. (Clem gets tangled up with this ruthless group out for themselves, she loses AJ and leaves on her own in the end to find him... considering I started the season with the alone ending, having it end in the same position feels lackluster)
*If Telltale does do a second story in this world, it'll be another multi-season thing. I just want to see what they can do with it if they plan for that from the start.
