Hypothetical: You get one non-revival retcon. What would you use it on?

Inspired by a user in another thread. I'll add mine if there's enough interest.

  • Sooo... you mean we could change something that doesn't involve bringing someone back to life, then?

I would change the fate of Christa in Episode 201, making her stick with Clementine instead of being written off.

I d have Molly stick around with Lee s group and after Clem gets separated from Christa and Her she tracks her down and Joins the Cabin group.

  • scrap carver's storyline out completely and write a new one. he could've been more than just a villain imo.

  • My joking-but-kind-of-serious retcon: have Clementine say she is in 3rd or 4th grade in S1. I'm sure it's universally ignored and interpreted as an error in the script when 8 year old Clementine said she was in 1st grade. It's just silly that a girl who is made out to be smarter that most kids her age is held back 2 years in school.

My serious-but-may-break-the-rules retcon: have TTG's TWD universe be separate from the comics. With it being separate, have it so that Rick and the gang don't exist in this universe. This allows for the story to go however and wherever it wants without worrying about whether or not the story is interfering with the comics and canon.

My original retcon idea: Clem and AJ never left The New Frontier after they joined. I'd have it that Clem worked along side both Ava with child development to stay close to AJ at the time Javi and crew appeared (I know that shakes up much of what happens in episodes 1 and 2, but just ignore that right now). David was loaning her from Ava to help with watch Javi's crew. Instead of her helping the gang because she was with them and/or she needs to find AJ, she helps them because she knows something shady is going on with Richmond that makes her both uneasy with being a member and worried for AJ's safety. Because of all this, her disdain towards David is because she thinks the shadiness in Richmond is in someway connected to David since it involves his crew. This really screws with how the rest of the season progresses since AJ isn't missing, so I don't quite know how it will end. I'm sure someone can think of some awesome story for a fourth season that results in Clem having to leave Richmond for whatever reason.

  • Sheesh, how does one even begin to choose?

  • Boil it down to "what I wanna see most" and "what I think was the games' biggest injustice," then pick whichever one you think wins out. Or attach numbers to them and use an online randomized to pick.

  • I either would want Kenny to not be in season 2, or the rest of season 2 to play out in and around Howes hardware

  • Nick Breckon leaving between A House Divided and No Going Back.

  • I wouldn't let the group steal The Stranger's stuff. So much bad stuff happened as a result of that.
