Clem In The Comics? *Letters #172*

So, someone was asking about the possibility of Clem jumping into the comics. The response was surprisingly non-commitmental.

"We are asking ourselves these same questions right now as the writers room has opened. Clem will definitely be the focus of Season 4."

So, probably not, but it wasn't a flat out no. I'm torn if I would like to see her not. On the one hand, it would be cool to see her more even if she becomes a side character. On the other hand, it makes her story have a specific cannon. Even if they don't refer to her background, what scar (or tattoo) she has would at least show what the cannon Season 2 ending choice was.

    I think it’s a 50/50 chance. Let’s just see how the Final Season goes.

    I’m sure the writers and Kirkman himself know how popular Clementine is. If they do introduce her in the comics, many new people will start reading them more.
