  • Uh...what exactly is the point of this thread? That's not me being a misogynist smartass like most of this community, that's a legit question.

  • Wanna see a better ending of Walking dead... the writers of the game have the knack of killing every character brutally. For instance i tried to save Kenny in season 2 but at the start of season 3 they killed him for no reason.... I like the character of Javier and Kate and hoping for their story to continue....

  • Well, that's ultimately up to you, dude. And that's all I can say.

    Good luck!

  • What chemistry? The game forced her on Javier whether we wanted to start a relationship with her or not. What she does at the end isn't noble. It's stupid and makes no sense considering she was against everyone in Richmond and wanted to split the minute she got there.

  • I agree.

  • Kate is schizophrenic, she probably just switched to her other personality and wandered off to lure young Mexican protagonists and smoke weed.

  • Are you referring to the ending where she disappears mysteriously? In that case I agree completely, that ending was exceptional except for how Kate disappears. Clementine should find her during her travels and be able to get her back to Richmond safely for the happiest ending ever.

  • Kate just worries about all the wrong things, and just comes off as desperate in the worst time you can ever come off as desperate.

  • Not really. What was forced was the so called love triangle conflict that was almost nonexistient except when it was [in]convenient.

She felt responsible for the walkers invading Richmond and related the devastation it caused to losing Marianna. That should be blatantly obvious.

    Nah, its over son.

  • I can understand wanting to help the people of Richmond get out of harm’s way but becoming a settlement leader? None of that felt earned.

  • That doesn't really involve Kate at all, though. Which is admittedly an example of a problem with how she was utilized.

  • Even if that's true its an abrupt shift from screw em! to I'm gonna risk my life and all of yours to save these people.....even ignoring Jesus and co.'s fortuitous arrival and the unlikihood of her being able to do a darn thing.

  • To be fair, I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be more of her understandably wanting to get her family and group out of what was known enemy territory, something she established as soon as she got David out of the room. Unfortunately, the poor timing of it the second time around (among other things) led to a disproportionate amount of people taking it the wrong way.

And another detail about her that too many people seem to miss is that unlike most characters, Kate's generally accepting of conflicting opinions or at the very least, she isn't one to push things more than she needs to. And in that final situation, that meant she was perfectly willing to save Richmond by herself if none of the other four would tag along.

  • Eh, saving the day, cleaning up her own booboos--Same thing

Even if it was technically "Jagger"'s fault rather than hers, but hey!

Kate just isn’t fleshed out enough for that to mean anything though.

Eh, it's good enough. I think it's safe to say that they still should've utilized her more in general, though.

  • There was zero chemistry between Kate and Javier in my play through, I turned her down every chance I got.

Yet she still tells David that she's in love with me? I hope she burns for turning brother against brother.

Actually, she was saying [to Javier] that she can't believe she loved either one. David just raged at Javier anyway because he's David.
    ....
That's not just me being snarky about him btw, that's really what it comes down to.

  • I would save Kate instead Gabe

I don't know, she did say it pretty loudly. She could've definitely just whispered.

Intentionally or not, what a stupid thing to do, Kate.

  • Admittedly, she didn't really think that moment through. At all.

  • True that...and haters gonna hate on the Kate....but it says something that she didn't skate in Richmond's time of fate...so they just speculate on her abrupt change of heart with their hate.
