  • I also contacted Telltale Staff in February regarding model glitches, technical glitches and issues with save files as well as choices not carrying over. I included links to a Let's Play from DomTheBomb along with the times of when the issues occurred in his playthrough. The most recent email I sent to Support was on June 2nd where I asked if there has been any development with these issues and Support replied and informed me that they are still looking into the issue.

But I think that with The Collection being a Preorder Bonus from preordering The Final Season it may prompt Telltale to make improvements and patch the issues that are currently present in The Collection so to ensure that the players choices will carry over to The Final Season

Now, this isn't necessarily in defense of any of these bugs/glitches (they should be fixed, no doubt about it), but I imagine most of these

  • Yeah I saved Carley in Episode 1 of Season One. Then Clementine asked Lee in my playthrough “Why did Lilly do that to Doug?” I was really confused and just thought it was a small bug. I played the Collection around 5 or 6 times since then and the exact same thing happens.

  • yeah same the collection has so little effort. Makes me think their QA team didn't playtest it properly.

There will be no update. Telltale doesn’t give a sh*t about what their fans want. They would of updated it by now and how long has it been since it’s release? 7 months. I have emailed Telltale several times about every single issue in the collection but they either ignore me or think I’m lying about the issues.

  • I don’t necessarily agree with that. Like Deltino said they did go back and remaster almost every single model, environment and so on. The effort and dedication are there but there was obviously some difficulty moving Season One and Season Two from an older version of the Telltale Tool to the most recent version

  • It is a preorder bonus for a The Final Season so that may encourage Telltale to patch the issues. I wouldn’t necessarily say that they don’t care about what their fans want. They may be working on the issue as we speak. But some things get fixed quickly and other things take quite a while to fix

  • okay no offense but what you said doesn't make any sense. You didn't explain why you don't necessarily agree with me. My point is that the quality assurance team either found dozens of issues with the game and didn't bother with reporting them or their designers were incompetent in fixing bugs and glitches/ didn't bother with fixing the issues. You can't defend them or find something that apparently excuses them from these mistakes. Oh, they had to remaster everything? Well it's a remaster! This isn't a quality product, the original is better.

  • I was referring to the part where you said there was little effort put into it. As for QA things can be missed (even though they are meant to take note of everything within that version of the game).

  • The worst aspect is the trophy list. Hello, have none of you acknowledged this?

  • I've compiled a few of the issues people have complained about here along with a few of my own and sent an email to Telltale talking about how the collection desperately needs a patch and how its embarrassing they're even using it as a pre-order incentive the way it is right now.

I got an email back saying thanks for the feedback and this information will be passed along to the rest of the team.

Knowing them they probably still won't patch anything, but let's hope for something before TFS releases.

I played through the whole collection the past couple of days in preporation of the final season and i'd like to post my thoughts on it.

I think the visual upgrades are pretty nice. The new lighting and shadow system does indeed give the games (Season One, Two & Michonne) more depth and certain changes to some scenes, like additional objects on the street or a slight change in lighting, enhance the atmosphere. Season One does profit from it the most, while Season Two and Michonne only got slightly impacted by the changes since their art style was already a huge Improvement compared to Season One.

Season One still has some of the same problems, though. First of all, the framerate is now at ~30fps instead of the 60fps of the original version on Ps4 & Xbox One. However, the framerate is everything but stable. It gets really rough in huge hub areas, like the farm in S1E2, but that is a problem exclusive to Season One, since there are no big hub areas in S2 and Michonne. The engine of S1 was also pretty much left unchanged outside of the visual upgrades, which may have caused more harm than good.

Season Two and Michonne hold up much better. There are still these loading hiccups that plague the engine to this day, but its much smoother all around. Especially Michonne looks great.

Season Three is a tough one. It had huge problems in its development and playing through it a second time made it much more apparent. It really feels shallow and underwritten, but i can't really hold it against the writers and devs. Game development is a bitch, especially if you make episodic games, and working under terrible management and unsustainable conditions didn't help much either.

But i do feel like there have been changes made to Season Three. It didn't felt as choppy as i remembered it and i could have sworn they changed the skybox in the very first scene as Javier is running towards the camera. Could be wrong, though. They also seemed to have fixed the bug in episode two after the confrontation with Conrad in the tunnel, where Clementine can be seen in the background when Javier finds Kate alone in the car no matter the outcome of the confrontation.

As many others have pointed out in this thread, some choices don't carry over correctly and i have encountered it aswell.

I still feel optimistic about the final season, because the devs seem very confident in what they've shown and it does look really good.

Also: fuck that rock-papers-scissors achievement in the 400 days dlc.
