  • Doesn't she also have a line in ANF basically saying the opposite?

"People change".. as Clementine once said herself. I can understand her new feisty attitude given what she's been through and especially wit

  • I've never heard it if so. I have played each game at least 5 times to get all the various dialogue responses and even then it's impossible to remember them all but never heard that. Could make a decent line for my who-said-what thread.

Telltale needs to make Season 4 flawless if they want my money, and I do find having agency on the personality of the character I'm playing as really important. These are decision driven games, the whole appeal of the formula is making decisions and have them affect the plot. Otherwise I'm just watching a really comic-y movies/series.

That's how I want Clem's character to be handled. It's absolutely up to us. Have what we chose to say and do as she have lasting consequences throughout the season's course. Make whatever non-determinant lines you can be based of previous decisions (and this would include minor dialogue choices as well).

Of course, I also believe there should be quite a handful of things about her personality which are un-moldable. There evidently needs to be consistency.

This is how ANF Clem should've worked, and it was what I was expecting considering the whole "My Clementine" advertising by the end of Season 2. This was the major disappointment for me in ANF.

Do I expect Telltale to do this in Season 4? No. Not at all. But at least we will be controlling her once more. Hopefully we will be able to at least mitigate whatever stupid non-determinant dialogue she has through our own decisions.

  • A New Frontier was a massive disappointment. Season 1 and Season 2 are Clementine's story. So what's the rationale behind making her an insignificant side character in Season 3? I can't think of poorer judgment made by a game developer in recent memory. If they wanted us to play new characters, then start a new spin-off. Don't make it a third Season when it has little to nothing to do with the previous ones. Someone ought to get fired at TellTale after this colossal failure.
