Eleanor (Late Discussion)
Was just thinking recently about Eleanor and wanted to bring this up... What did she actually contribute to the whole season? It felt like she was a somewhat wasted character she started nice then does a 180 into b!t*hville in the final episode. I feel like there must of been originally more to her story but they had to cut back or decided to scrap ideas. I remember it was heavily hinted that she was "interested" in Javier then after episode 2 they skipped over it and she accuses you of being in love with Kate even if you weren't...

She was initially used as a more liberal but ultimately naive foil to Tripp(when he was written/established properly) and primarily acted as the closest thing the group had to a doctor, personally taking care of and getting help for Kate's bullet wound. Dr. Lingard was impressed after seeing the fruits of labor himself and thus had David retrieve her from Quarantine through Ava and promoted her to helping him run the hospital, getting her her own apartment and ingratiating her into the Richmond society. This of course led to her feeling like her abilities and desire to help people were really appreciated and valued, which led to her wanting to stay there and eventually going to Joan about Javier's plan after failing to convince the others to find a more peaceful solution.
Alternative love interest point aside, she would indeed have logically had more immediate relevance in the story originally because she was explicitly created/designed to be Joan's missing daughter, possibly even before the latter was given the role of Big Bad.
Eh, personally, I didn't particularly care for either of the two flimsy mindsets regarding her after the game first premiered.
And to be fair, kissing Kate in the junkyard noticeably has he gain a warm, heartfelt smile in contrast to Marianna's minor disgust.
