Favourite new character in the series so far?

Who's your favourite new character? I hope I got all the characters in, I might have missed a few though. Also, I added de Cava as we've heard a lot about him even if we haven't meant him yet.
Currently I think DeSinge is my favourite Tales character despite him not appearing much in the latest episode...

I'm betting Morgan LeFlay is going to be a popular option though.

    Winslow. 'Nuff said. :D

Morgan LeFlay FTW. Also, the Pyrate Parrot already has four votes? I don't know whether to laugh or cry...

EDIT: Spelt Morgan LeFlay wrong in the poll, sorry!

    Fixed it.

I voted for the Pyrite Parrot. I think it makes a nice addition, saying the same thing over and over again...

I think I might have to go with DeSinge on this one. He's pretty unique in the series - a villain that's both comical and amusing, while at the same time being a psychotic butcher (LeChuck never really did both at the same time, imo).

Anemone and the other merpeople... their jokes may be a bit superficial, but they definitely made me smile the most.

The irritated look on Guybrush's face after yet another "Hello Sailor" is simply priceless.

Morgan's my favorite so far, but Winslow and Anemone both bring up a very close second. :D
  • edited August 2009
LeChuck, i would love to play him, both as a human and as a evil person again. His beard in his human appearance is impressive and funny at the same time.
  • edited August 2009
LeFlay for me! She's just so damn cool! Winslow is a very close second place, we will need another poll at the end of the series after we've see even more new characters and have gotten to know the ones we've already seen a little more.

I voted Anemone, because she's my favourite, but I really do like them all. McGillicutty could end-up being a classic character. As could Anemone and Tetra, of course.

Winslow wins with the map ;)

    Didn't McGillicutty drown?
Correct me if I'm wrong, which I probably am...

He's far too interesting to just die like that. Don't worry, he has a whole fleet of pirate ships, someone would pull him out of the water sooner or later.

I'd vote for Anemone, but Pyrite Parrot steals the show. I thought it was just a one time gag, but I hope it stays with us the entire game lol.

    Morgan!!!

with the Pyrite Parrot second place ^^
  • edited August 2009
I would say human lechuck but he's not really new in my opinion so I'm going for Morgan LeFlay
  • edited August 2009
I'll go for DeSinge. A sadistic evil doctor nutcase made for a nice villain. Hope we'll see more of him.
Close runner-ups would be Winslow and Anemumbelie. Though I just got to like Winslow in the second Episode with his rater unique obsessions.
But I never quite warmed up to LeFlay or Gillicutty, both seemed rather bland in comparison to the rest. And Morgan's voice is just painful.

Morgan with a Pyrite Parrot a tight second. Now all we need to do is find the least liked character.

i never thought the day would come when morgan would beat parrot  ..oh well ... damn those nice cans ... jk

    Top 5-List

    1) Morgan LeFlay, ruthless mercenary lady, which still has some honor.

    2) Mer-People overall, I just can't choose one.

    3) Winslow. Nice character overall.

    4) Human LeChuck. While LeChuck is not my overall favorite, human version is quite cool.

    5) DeSinge. Humourous and Sadistic at the same package.

Bonus Prize "Most Annoying and Humorous Character Ever in Monkey Island Series" goes to Pyrite Parrot. Absolutely annoying, but then again useful and humorous. More proper place for this character is in the Blood Island Volcano though. :D

I think Morgan and the parrot are the best so far. The one-line-wonder can only go so far before getting stale, so I voted for Morgan.

I decided to compile the 3 best new characters into a little chant
    PYrite PARRot PYrite PARRot

I'm a good guy now, good guy now, no more voodoo, voodoo.
Also, I voted for human lechuck, but I really should have voted for the parrot.

    I find that disturbing.

Though all this asexual thing is heavily implied in ToMI, I still find all these merfolk much more resembling merMAIDs, and by appearance, and by names, and by their dialogs and actions.

Human LeChuck (I loved the scene when you could tell him to do all the hillarious things and the voice is great) and the Pyrite Parrot.
  • edited September 2009
Voted for Winslow, but I also love De Singe. Jared Emerson-Johnson did an awesome job for his voice.
  • edited September 2009
We've only had about five minutes of her, but I'd go with Morgan. She's probably the most interesting character-wise. Hopefully she really pans out in Ep 3.

Winslow is alright but not really a "character." De Singe is amusing but strikes me as out of place.

Has anyone else found it noticable how many great new characters Tales has already produced? DeSinge, Winslow, human LeChuck (whom I think it's fair to count as a new character) and Morgan. (Not sure if the Pyrite Parrot counts as a character.)

In MI2 the only notable ones I remember are Largo and Wally; I can't really remember that many interesting new characters from MI3 or MI4 apart from Murray.
