So that's what they meant about the 42 different Clem.
Exactly.
42 slightly different sentences.
thAtLl pLeAse The FaNs
Huh. You're right.
Doesn't really change that that was a dumb thing to announce, but there it is.
Interesting how Clementine had all of this extensive and diverse character development from S1-S2 only for one of her only key character developments to be discussing her period for 5 minutes and be forgettably absent for half of ANF.
Don't be mistaken; these "42 Clems" were a cop out so that they couldn't be accused of false advertising for the statements they made before ANF's release. These slightly different sentences will in no way affect the final season in a meaningful way. There were at max 5 slightly different Clems throughout the course of s3 and s4 will likely have even fewer.
I wish these choices at the very least would have had a decent influence on dialogue. There are a few moments when they do but there are like what? Two maybe four moments throughout all of ANF when there are alternate dialogue options for Clem based off of past seasons. It was a mistake pushing Clem to the status of a side character and ignoring two seasons of build up. Luckily it sounds like Telltale has learned from this mistake and will hopefully redeem themselves in the final season.
All of those descriptions, just to give them the absolute minimal impact. I really do get what they wanted to do, but this. Maybe it's just me, but you know, you come up with an idea, and the next step should be asking "how is this feasibly possible?"
If the response to that is silence, you take it back to the first step and maybe think about doing something else.
