Possible Storyline for TFS
With PAX quickly approaching and release drawing closer and closer, I have a couple theories as to where the story of TFS is headed.
In a recent post, a user mentioned that Nikki Rapp (the voice of Lilly) and Mara Janot (the voice of Christa) have followed lead designers of TFS. I feel like a safe assumption can be made that these characters will be returning in some respect. If this holds true, it plays a key role in my theory.
Christa lives on the farm where AJ is being held, along with Lilly. Lilly is the leader of the farm. Christa's child is never seen in Season 2, and is quite possibly deceased. Christa builds a connection with AJ and takes him in as if he was her own. When Clementine discovers the farm, Christa may be very reluctant to let AJ go. Upon Clementine finding AJ, she may feel very guilty or resent Clementine because of her acts in Season 1. Lilly wants the best for Clementine, but will do anything to protect herself and her group. Maybe Christa and Lilly will become the villains of TFS?
I know there are a lot of gaps here, but that's only because we have no idea what is going to happen this season. According to the key art, it looks like TFS is going to mirror the themes of Season 1 (retribution, finding a purpose, sacrifice). If Christa and Lilly were to return, it would change everything.

Kinda doubtful Christa AND Lily would return. People thought Kenny's return was unrealistic, but now we are suppose to go "Ahh yes, Clem runs into Christa and Lily all in a short span of time! Quite realistic!"
Also as much as I would like older characters to return, it would feel like such obvious fan service and trying to make up for the ANF disaster.
I agree with Poogers that having Clementine straight up happen across either Lilly or Christa would be a repeat of Kenny's miraculous reunion and would ultimately not add very much to the story. I think having flashbacks of Clementine's time with all of her groups since s1 could be a good idea, but I'd like the present day focus to be on Clem, AJ, and whatever new characters we're going to meet.
