  • Also the main character from the original is replaced by their supporting deuteragonist character respectively with Lee Everett now passing the protagonist baton to Clementine and Dr. Alan Grant to Dr.Ian Malcom.

Wouldn't Kenny be the more appropriate parallel?

  • More of a yes and no there I believe. Yes in the sense that Kenny and Malcolm were most like tritagonists ( cause Dr.Ellie of JP franchise who I forgot about was likely of second most importance to Dr.Grant) and then appear in the sequel after nearly dying in the original.

No in the sense that unlike Kenny.. Dr.Malcolm took on the complete role of protagonist in Lost World ? while skipping deuteragonist role entirely. While even though Kenny received the most focus of any of the season two supporting characters he was still essentially the deuteragonist to Clementine at best in S2 and was never meant to be main character in spite of the excessive attention.

TL;DR - Both were very important characters to their respective universes but one of them receives a much more prominent role in their sequel.. Malcolm>Kenny. While in the original it's Malcolm=Kenny.

  • Yeah, that's where I stand on the speculation now. This is where the book closes for Clem once and for all. We had more than a fantastic run with our beloved!

This maybe not the final season but Clementines final season. Like they said they could make more but not with Clementine

  • I agree. Some characters are better off staying/ending where they originate. It's not something I'd like to see risked.

Honestly, I’m fine with whatever they do as long as they don’t put her in the comics. I swear if they do this it will butcher her character.

  • this season either makes or breaks them.

Definitely. Even if TFS has incredible success, I still think it'd be wise to conclude it.

  • I thought of this too - AJ becoming the new face of Telltale's TWD franchise, but I don't see it being received well after Clem's fate. Although, I'd be interested to see how it would play out stepping in AJ's shoes and sort of guiding him, but no one really knows what will become of Clem this season. So it's safe to say this will be the end of AJ's arc as well.

Mabey it’s the end for Clem, but not for A.J.

  • Same here, but I won't fully ignore everything else after though. I'll still be interested to see our next venture into apocalypse. I think the possibilities are endless and I'm pretty excited to see where we'll be headed after this season!

  • Dude at first I thought the question mark was Telltale just teasing us about concluding Clem's story, then I thought I'd be realistic lol. The fanboy in me would find any possible loose end to deny her departure.

I'm worried they put that question mark there because they have no idea how to end her story. Maybe i'm wrong and they did that because they're gonna change the name, but that's still weird.

  • At first I thought it was too, the first picture can be easily mistaken, but it's the second picture that I'm not too sure about.

it will be cool to see them do other franchises or even create their own IP to give them more creative freedom rather than constantly releasing sequels.

And I couldn't agree more! I really, really want an original story driven horror installment with some drama involved like Halloween or American Horror Story. Preferably American Horror Story lol.

  • Yeah I can agree, the first picture can be a dead giveaway, but the second one still has me on the fence a little. Apologies if it's getting annoying, this is sorta like a hung jury lol.

I'm not sure that's a question mark at all. Looks more to me like something in the background that just happens to somewhat resemble a quest

  • "?" case closed! Lol.

? (Kidding. But man - are there no typeface enthusiasts on these forums? Who has any objections to the kerning of the supposed question mark? Just me?)

  • They will probably go back on their word if TFS is somehow a whopper hit and pump out more in hopes of another success which will decrease it's chances of being a success.

this season either makes or breaks them. Definitely. Even if TFS has incredible success, I still think it'd be wise to conclude it.

  • theyre not saying theyre done their just finishing clems perspective its likely therell be a s5 with new characters or a fear type spin off

  • If they really do make more TWD, make it a spinoff; no more Clementine, no more AJ, no more Javier, etc. Appearances from 400 days characters or maybe Lily/Christa I don't mind, but the overarching story of Clem's story HAS to end here. Anything after this should have a fresh cast and a new story to tell.

  • I agree, a brand new slate, more opportunity to take us on a new journey without the hassle of previous characters. Not that they're annoying - it's just time we put them to rest. Which doesn't necessarily mean killing them off or anything insane like that lol.

Walking Dead The Final Season: Part 2

  • It is called The Final Season for a good reason. It is the end of Clementine’s story. If The Final Season does perform well then that is fantastic but that will probably not make Telltale decide to continue Clementine’s story. They have said and put a lot of emphasis and focus on The Final Season being the end so to continue it because it may make them a fortune would pretty much make the title “The Final Season” very much meaningless as it will not be the actual Final Season.

Hope I explained what I meant clearly and didn’t cause any confusion

  • Yep, spot on. It's been decided it's time we let Clem move on. Depending on how it ends, I'll get over it and set my focus on what's next to come for TWD franchise. I know The Wolf Among Us is set to be the next release, as well as Stranger Things. So I think it gives them enough time to cook something up for the next installment. Will we start from Season 1 all over again and work our way up? Lol
