How are you preparing for the final season?
I've been religiously / daily for the least the last 3 years. But I find myself playing season 1 more than any of them. I never seem to get bored with it even though 95% of the time I make the same choices. Yes, I have made every decision possible in the game in every season. I recently got a chance to play the updated version with the new graphics and did not find them to be anything that made the game better. In fact, I love the original Graphics I find it to be more in tune with a comics. I'm starting off again with season 1 tonight and going to play through slowly hopefully by the time I am all the way done we will at least have a trailer for the new season. So I like to ask everyone what's your favourite season and why? Do you think that they will deliver as promised a great ending or you feel that they will disappoint like they did with season 3? Myself I enjoy season 3. Not as much as season 1 and 2. I just hope like so many of us that when we're done playing we can walk away knowing that it was well worth the years we've spent waiting.
Comments
I'm not, really.
To answer your first other question, I'm not sure. Season 1 is the best, no doubt, but Season 2 has more going for it conceptually, even if it utterly squanders most of it. And despite ANF being objectively the worst, I think I actually had a little more of a positive experience compared to Season 2.
For your second question, I don't know and most likely won't care. There's not really enough information for us to go off and/or become anticipating, nor much precedent for a collectively good time.
I have no hype in me anymore it's just curiosity at this point.
How is that?
I'm preparing, by making a drinking game for it.
Well I was going to use my Walking Dead Collection save file for The Final Season however due to the technical issues of the Save Files in The Collection I have reinstalled Season One and A New Frontier.
I have yet to reinstall Season Two.
But I plan on playing through Season One, Season Two and A New Frontier just before the Final Season premieres so I can get into the mind frame and focus on the story of Clementine.
I believe I technically liked more of the characters in ANF (about 6 or 7) on the first go round compared to Season 2, where it was really just Michelle(if you wanna count her, anyway), Alvin, Sarah, and later Luke. And I was actually really getting into various things about a number of the characters and the plot, whereas Season 2 certainly teased a number of things but rarely did much of it really strike a longstanding chord. Not being overly pretentious, mean-spirited, or cynical also didn't hurt.
Though the fact that I was actually around for the waiting, speculation, and experience for ANF may or may not be a good difference maker as well.
And to be fair, both No Going Back and From the Gallows were both episodes I went into with little enthusiasm/expectations.
I tend to play seasons 1 and 2 like once every two or three months. I’ll probably just play all the seasons again before S4.
Because of the penultimates ultimately being let downs?
For Amid the Ruins, definitely so. Thicker than Water is more of a guilty pleasure that happened have a good number of weird, generally negative choices.
But I guess you can still say that.
Well I've heard "Around Every Corner" had been nominated as the worst episode for season one. Even still most will say season ones penultimate episode was way better than season two and threes penultimates. If nothing else I always have high hopes for the penultimate at least being good and ending on a good ? note but they often fall short.
I've seen a few comments to that effect, yes. Honestly, I'm a little indifferent to the episode.
Is that so? Guess there's more of an issue bringing things in for a satisfying end.
I guess a slight drive in hoping a returning character comes so we at least have a couple choices to transition over. I guess a DLC to explain what happened to them would at least suffice, other than that I don't really have a drive/hype for season 4. It would be highly unusual to have a blank slate for a final season I.E just the new characters we've seen so far so I personally hope they don't go with just this route.
'Meh' would just be my shortened response.
I am getting my save files ready for TFS so that my choices are cared over and hopefully used in TFS. However, I am worried for TFS because of the disappointments of the last two seasons after season 1. With a new CEO and deduction in their company, Telltale games will get its act together and make a game everyone will be happy about.
A bottle of Jack waiting for it to be even worse than the last
Just going to watch it on release day.
Damn sleep ur a MADLAD
By prayer.
Considering ANF grabbed my cautious optimistic approach, and Negan'd it, I'm no where near as excited as I was for the idea of S3 when it was announced. I'm still hoping that it'll be good, but I bought the first two episodes of ANF when they launched, and the last 3 when the season pass was in a holiday sale a year later, and only forced myself through it because they seemed to acknowledge where they went wrong. I'll probably end up getting it down the line and I do have interest in it, but it's no where near the priority every episode of the first two seasons were. Not a day one purchase for me, I'm going to have to actually read some feedback before I check it out.
By finding a secret science base where I would develop and release a zombie virus so I can experience the game in real life, where I would stay alive until the zombies die out, leading me to find a shady drug dealer behind the local library so I can borrow his shrooms, sending me to a fake zombie world so I can live it out again but in Atlantis, where all historical knowledge would be uncovered, allowing me to find out what really happened to Hitler, deeming me a hero to all, where I would then use my new found privileges to take people’s cash at will, allowing me to build a time machine with resources I have purchased, going forward in time to the game’s release, where I would then destroy every copy but one, photo copy that copy, destroy the original, insert the potato disc, realise it is the fake despite knowing it was the fake all along, using the time machine to go back to play the original, but not playing the original but actually playing the original. ?
Wow, this is by far one of the best responses I have ever received well thought out and original. Well played well played!
I’m just crying. And waiting
