@VengefulKenny Marlon sounds a bit like Kenny, Violet sounds like Jane, Louis is Luke/Omid.

Most of those are pretty fair comparisons, I guess, though Louis also loosely reminds me of characters like Walter and to an extent Kate.
And I'm definitely pegging Marlon as being more like David than the other Kenny-clone or original.

So from what this article says the characters are: Louis: Omid the second Violet: Molly v3.0 Marlon: i still dont have an opinion on this guy...

Mini Kenny, Mini Jane and Mini Omid.
    I dig it.

  • Correct, except Marlon. I believe he's shaping up to be more of a Tripp kind of character, though the two were really similiar.

While that was part of my initial comparison/description, I sure hope not.

Here's hoping to Marlon not being like any of the two characters!

  • It's interesting how unlike the other 3 characters we haven't had much information on Tenn.

I can't remember if it was during the first panel or not, but didn't they say that Tenn was going to be focused on in ep2 and 3?

I wonder if he is going to end up with a lot of significance to the plot and that's why they are being hush hush about him?

  • It's because unlike the other 3, his character and backstory is actually gonna have some degree of exploration and possible significance/relevance throughout the Season.

  • Yea. As I said, there's RNG involved in that scene.

Actually, the outcome of helping Francine is random, but it's possible to win.

  • IDK, it sounds to me like Louis will serve as the comic relief. I didn't really consider Walter and Kate as being funny, but I do see how their cheerfulness could be loosely attributed to what little we know about Louis so far.

I'm surprised I'm the only person that feels the need to mention that he kind of looks like Jayden Smith, luckily that isn't his VA.

  • Perhaps Marlon will be a blend of both Tripp + Kenny?

  • I just don't know if he's a temperamental person. We'll find out.

  • I do recall him being mentioned at the PAX panel but he has faded into obscurity since that one mention. I'm thinking he'll have best friend type of relationship with AJ since they're both around the same age.

  • How can we be so certain to rule out Marlon and Violet as having relevance, since they already made it into Scopely's Road to Survival? They seem like pretty integral characters to me. I'm still unsure about Louis, though.

I don't mind people making the Omid comparison since, of the four characters that come to mind, he's the only one who was explicitly meant to lighten the mood--a role that Louis somewhat shares in comparison to his colleagues.

Less for being funny and more for the quality of being people who at first glance don't seem like they really belong in the apocalypse and in fact have appreciating the way the world used to be as a fairly significant aspect of their character design.
Though Kate isn't really that cheerful to begin with.

  • Ah I really want ten to be related to Lee or someone we knew somehow....I still don't know whats the point of his existence but we'll see....I dig.

  • Have people's thoughts changed about this season just being a Degrassi?

  • I didn't watch Degrassi, so my thoughts were never that.
