Exactly. If Clem flirted with both Louis and Violet and it was canon dialogue then i would say for sure she is bisexual and that’s fine but we didn’t get any of that
Now you're approaching something I can agree with. Twitter confirmation is dumb, her sexuality should be hinted at in the games, purely for story telling purposes.
Doesn't change the fact that that's not how bisexuality works, but okay.
Also like said on these forums before, Clem ain't a blank slate for you to project on. Telltale still controls a shit ton of her character.
Ok, then tell me how it works then? I get you have feelings for both genders but in the instance of this game how can you say Clem is considered bisexual if someone as a player did not have any feelings for Gabe, Louis or Violet? That is why it is bullshit to me.
Im not trying to be rude or offend you just so we’re clear. Trying to understand where you’re coming from on this
Well first off, I'm pretty sure Gabentine is canon considering I didn't even play ANF and I got the Gabentine conversation prompt. IDK about this though.
Edit: Nevermind, I forgot there's an option to say you didn't like Gabe like that LMAO.
But like I've said, you're playing as Clem, so her choices are basically her thought process. The fact that she gets the option to follow/kiss/romance either Louis or Violet communicates that she wouldn't be opposed to dating women or men, even if you do decide to go with Louis.
Also her being interested and or kissing Louis or Gabe doesn't really change that, because dating the opposite gender doesn't automatically make you straight. Technically, it wouldn't even be a straight relationship given one of the people (Clem) is LGBT.
Basically, Clem can choose to kiss Violet or Louis, and even if she doesn't, it doesn't change the fact that she's open to dating men or women. That thought process of hers doesn't change.
Sorry if I'm repeating myself, I'm trying to explain this the best as I can.

I don't think Gabentine is any more canon than the fact that Clementine knew a kid called Gabriel this one time that she cared for in some capacity. If our choices are supposed to mean anything, then we are the arcitects of what Gabentine meant ourselves.

Clementine can clearly state in episode 1 that she didn't care for him in that way, if you pick that option. I take that as a pretty clear statement that we can interpret it any way we want.

It just doesn’t strike me as Clem being bisexual based on who you choose to go with if you choose not to kiss them or share your feelings though. She may not be opposed to being bisexual but they still should have made it clearer in the game like say she could have flirted with Louis or Violet or given some hints that she likes both genders

A twitter tweet doesn't convince me she's bi, she is straight if u want her to be and we didn't see anything pointing towards that in the game if u choose Louis she doesn't like violet or has any feelings for her, just a friend....nothing can convince me otherwise.

Clem is giving up on a child if she chooses VI?????????? wait i thought she was supposed to be Bi, .... so she can't like boys again? making it up as she goes along
Doesn't matter because we may not get to see another example because maybe clem will die at end of the season but if another example rises other than vi I'll always choose her to be straight so her being bi doesn't matter in my books she is straight
so Rebecca giving birth has supposedly given AJ as a child to Clem to look after like he was her own but ''Clems experiences of women given birth has soured her need for this? total BS
I dunno, I´ve had a couple opportunities in my life to be intimate with someone of the same sex. I chose not to, because I´m straight. But I still had the option if I wanted to.
Just having the choice doesn´t mean a whole lot.

Ashly Burch confirmed it but not the writers. But there were many hints like she had pictures of boobs on her room wall, flirting with Max, the extremely close friendship with Rachel and how she reacted to Rachel’s relationship with Frank. Little things like that.
More hints there than Telltale ever gave us regarding Clem though
My point is, it was not made clear that she is bisexual. We were given a choice to be romantically involved with whoever we want or choose n… moreot to even show interest in either so that’s why i disagree with her being confirmed bi. I don’t have a problem if she was but they should have made it clearer for me
nah clem is straight in my book and i don't give a fuck for what that that writer said she didn't write S1 OR 2 and i wouldn't be surprised if she did write that trash TNF. she can go sell that Clem's bi bullshit somewhere else cause i don't buy the words of trash writing.
Y’all are so adamant about how Telltale should have “shown” that Clem was bi earlier. How would they have communicated to the player from seasons 1-3 that Clem is bi when she literally never interacted with girls her age (the closet was Sarah but she was older but simultaneously less mature than Clem) until now in season 4? Why is everyone so adamant about their Clem being straight when again SHE CAN STILL LIKE LOUIS/BOYS IF SHE IS BI since that is indeed how being bisexual works?
It's not our job to do Telltale's job for them. For the record, I don't mind Clementine being bi, my stance is just that when the game says I decide certain aspects about a character I like to argue why her sexuality can't be one of those aspects.
The reason why I wanted Telltale to show it somewhere, is because I beleive these concepts should present themselves through the narrative, if there is a specific aspect they want to make clear. If Clementine is canonically bi and I can't get to imagine her as straight or gay, I'd like it to be shown and not told. "Show, don't tell," is the first rule you learn in writing school 101. A tweet shouldn't be what establishes a fictional characters sexuality, it should happen naturally through proper writing.

Honestly why do people care it's just a game. I feel like I'm saying this a lot now. i should've never gotten into this side of the forums, I hate it really. It has honestly deprived me of my interest in coming here. Ugh I feel sick.
Just because a writer says she’s bi doesn’t mean i agree with that. In fact that’s shoddy writing because my Clem did not have any sexual in… moreteraction with Gabe and none with Violet so how does that make my Clem bisexual? Sorry but she can say what she likes but i don’t agree. The writers should have made it canon that she was bi
Alright I'm gonna go out on a limb here, hold my breath and hope I don't get bombarded: I think lately with both ANF and TFS the writing has been really shoddy, especially in regards to Clem. She is a mess of a character.

It is in a game with CHOICES thank you very much! Not to mention that they never gave any hints that she could be bisexual until that choice
Doesn't change the fact that that's not how bisexuality works, but okay.
Also like said on these forums before, Clem ain't a blank slate for you to project on. Telltale still controls a shit ton of her character.
So an expert on bisexuality are you? The way i think it works is what i have said and i don’t know what you think it is but i probably disagree
I'm literally bisexual so yeah, I kinda know what the hell I'm talking about.
Ok, then tell me how it works then? I get you have feelings for both genders but in the instance of this game how can you say Clem is considered bisexual if someone as a player did not have any feelings for Gabe, Louis or Violet? That is why it is bullshit to me.

Yeah I wasn't sure if the Gabe choice was them saying she did like him or not. It was kinda unclear.
Clementine can clearly state in episode 1 that she didn't care for him in that way, if you pick that option. I take that as a pretty clear statement that we can interpret it any way we want.

Yeah looking back on it, it could have been clearer.
That’s why in Life Is Strange we could tell by many hints that Chloe was gay for example.
Was that confirmed? I mean yeah I absolutely believe she's gay but I don't remember them ever outright stating it.
A twitter tweet doesn't convince me she's bi, she is straight if u want her to be and we didn't see anything pointing towards that in the game if u choose Louis she doesn't like violet or has any feelings for her, just a friend....nothing can convince me otherwise.
@Wiso2kinfinity From Mary
Just because she doesn't like Violet doesn't mean she isn't bi.
Sure but it wasn't proved in the game for my eyes to see it yet so
im sorry but them responses are bullshit!
Clem is giving up on a child if she chooses VI?????????? wait i thought she was supposed to be Bi, .... so she can't like boys again? making it up as she goes along

Javi barely got any proof in game that he was bisexual besides one flirty line with Jesus and that doesn't change that he's bisexual.
im guessing MARY didn't work on S1 or S2?...
Until I see proof of her being bi I'm convinced she isn't and end of discussion.

why do i have to post words to shitpost now
Still didnt make it clear enough in the games though. If that is Mary’s view its not really good enough. Even you can admit it wasn’t clear enough
It just doesn't matter...at the end of the day...it is how YOU play it. Just have fun with it in the way you want.
Fully agreed.
