These forums have been toxic for a while now. I don't spend as much time on here as I used to because it's rare to get a decent discussion s… moreince just about every thread is almost always invaded with something along the lines of:
"Oh my god Telltale! Everything you guys have released after Season 1 isn't exactly like Season 1! Season 1 this! Season 1 that! Telltale you monsters why are you wasting all my money! I payed $5 for an episode and I'm not getting dozens of completely separate branched out storylines! That was $5 out of my wallet! $5!"
I know I'm kind of a hypocrite for writing this. I have boasted my fair share of complaints about ANF but I look back at those comments now and I'm embarrassed by how immature and rude I was. ANF may have been my least favorite game in this series but all in all I really do adore these games. I understand a level criticism is very important in regards to making things better but there are way too … [view original content]
Honestly, no.
The forums have to be one of the nicest online communities I’ve been a part of. Sure there are a few negative people, but for the most part the Telltale community is nice.

The only toxicity I see on this site are people who are incapable of accepting criticism and getting defensive over other peoples opinions. That includes users in this thread. If someone is causing an issue, use the report feature and move on. Threads like this are worthless for discussion.
To be honest, toxicity is present in every community because it depends on the type of person you're currently talking to about something. That's that.
There is a price for passion - those who love deeply also hate deeply. I've never minded when others had a differing opinion than my own, and I truly do enjoy debating various topics. A lot of people could construe that as toxic, however what I've gleaned from others who have engaged with me has been perspectives that I didn't take into account.
I'd much rather have a community that would detail their stances, whether than be praise or criticisms. I'd be one of those who have torn down AJ since his appearance, however this doesn't necessarily mean I am pinning for the opportunity to see him torn apart by a pack of walkers. This chapter is finally going to utilize him. My usual objection to any narrative is wasted potential or build up with no pay off.
Perhaps some clarification could be helpful? What sorts of things do you find frustratingly toxic, Sir_Tubbs?

I'm rather picky about making throwaway threads myself.
Yeah
Guess they took their corner store candy money that seriously. May as well file a chapter 7.
Read all that in Patrick Star's voice.

Yeah this community's pretty toxic
People dont know the difference between OPINION and OFFENSE.
I still haven't seen how this community is supposedly non-toxic.
