Regardless, now i have a theory that Clementine and AJ might have stayed in Richmond for a while. However, Clem made an agreement with Javi so that she can bring AJ and bug out of the place at the first sign of trouble, like when there's an assault from another group. Maybe the red car was her bug out vehicle and was loaded with supplies. One day, there was indeed a major attack and Clem, not seeing how Richmond could've survived, brought AJ with her and just go while she had the chance. They've been on the road ever since and it's unknown whether Richmond survived or not.
That's the only scenario i can currently think of. If we're really gonna get an explanation i hope it'll indeed be satisfying without necessarily bringing the Garcias back.
Oh yeah definitely. I wanted to kill her so badly but I wanted the unavoidable battle and ensuing shit storm to be entirely David's fault even more. I'd relish an opportunity to finally kill her.

They don't need to as their story is finished, unless Telltale decide to go the miniseries route. I wouldn't be opposed to them being referenced or making cameo appearances in future TWD games though.
Also it would've made more sense had she not appeared in ANF altogether so Javi could have his his moment.
