Come on that wasn't even close to what happened in the meat locker. Lilly even says afterwards that he had been through worse heart attacks that he couldn't get over and needed to go to the hospital.
It actually varies for people turning throughout the series. Rebecca came back relatively quick and it's suggested Kenny/Jane reanimated right after the finale battle.
Personally if there was a choice to let lily continue CPR, then smash his head in I would have taken that option. I knew Larry was going to … moredie, but letting lily finished would convinced her of that also. She needed to see she couldn't do anything. Besides, it takes a bit for people to turn. Smashing his head in was the way to go. But how it was done made it seem evil.
The problem with that is Lily would likely have had a "Kenny" moment still believing she could save him. That would have turned into a 3 way argument/struggle allowing Larry to eventually reanimate with Lily close to him.

Yeah, but those possibilities weren't actually available. I mean, you can only have those possibilities if your aware that they're there. I doubt Lee, Kenny or Lilly knew to do those things. If your someone, like you, that knows about it than its different. But given how things turned out none of these characters knew what to do beyond CPR and couldn't have responded with the taser. I don't mean to say I disagree, I just mean that unless you know to do those things your not going to be able to do them. And Larry is a big dude and zombie turn-time seems to happen almost instantly, so I could see how letting him turn or letting him have the potential to turn isn't the best idea.
That is not true Dan. It takes 4 to 6 minutes for the braincells to start dying. Around 3 minutes after that, yes, the person can be officia… morelly deemed braindead. However, this is hardly an exact science, a lot of factors can weight in on those numbers. Temperature for example can extend this time period immeasurably. People have managed to survive up to 45 minutes without a heartbeat on frozen water. Other environments, such as a meat lockers can mimic such an effect.
Of course, it's ridiculous that we're talking about all these numbers and factors in the first place, since you are blatantly ignoring that Lilly was giving Larry CPR which is a way of keeping blood, and therefore oxygen going to the victim's brain. I personally know a nurse who sustained a victim without an heartbeat for 2 hours until assistance arrived.
The writers might've intended for it to be ambiguous, sure, but that doesn't erase the fact that it's physically imposs… [view original content]
If you read what MosesARose has to say and whats realistic then yes. Kenny didn't particularly do it in the right way but the Larry guy would've turned.
Personally, I've been taught a lot of this in school. Repeatedly. From how to perform CPR, to how to do mouth to mouth, and many of those numbers. I just imagined it was common sense.
But regardless, we can assume Lilly knew a lot about her father's condition and what to do should he have a cardiac arrest. Even if Kenny and Lee didn't know what the point of CPR is, which I doubt, they should've probably trusted Lilly's judgment on the whole thing.
There's the potential for death in pretty much everything they do. Lee almost dies saving Kenny's family later that episode. Couldn't they take a risk saving Lilly's? Or at the very least give her another moment to realize it was hopeless or something?

He was right to do what he did. Matter of life and death
Well that's why I stated Kenny did the right thing. Larry would've gotten his head smashed either way.
Was Larry turning in the meat locker?
No, he was in a supine position.
Okay, wtf?
Oh I get it lol! My goodness that one almost went over my head
Larry should have tried spinning, that’s a good trick.

I'm talking about the taser. Obviously they know CPR. But I don't recall being taught anything about using a taser.
