I'm from Berlin Germany and if this post shows up it'll be the first thing I've ever posted here though I preordered ToMI. I don't know why but somehow I can't manage to post in this forum. Maybe my Username looks offensive?
Or maybe I'm just a tiny little bit retarded (no offense meant)
Yay it worked!!! What have I been doing wrong??? By the way I don't remember when I first played Monkey Island (SoMI) with my older brother It's the GrogXD that loosens my mind but I guess it must have been about 1990.
- My first game was MI-3, which I played many many times after the first time , because I really loved it. (~1997)
.........( I believe between those two , I played GrimFandango, which I really wish TellTale should sponser!)
- Then I ordered MI-4 once it was released in the US, but didn't really like it or remember it!! (~2000)
- After that I got older and became a busy man, but that didn't stop me from playing MI. Believe it or not, I then played MI-1 and MI-2 for the first time on my Pocket-PC (windows mobile phone) with the help of an emulator program. (~2004/2005)
- A couple of months ago(Jul-2009), I played MI-1-SE which was released recently by Lucas arts.
- Now (Sep-2009), because I want to spend my time at home with my wife, I'm actually playing MI-5 at work !! (don't tell my boss).
- Aug-2010, I played the MI-2-SE (this comment was added later)
Born and bred in Australia (the place with Kangaroos - though for our Northern neighbours, they DO NOT hop down our airplane runways as might be common perception).
I first played Monkey Island 1 (and shortly after, MI2) somewhere around 1992-3 on the Amiga 500 (still gotta love that machine, despite its age).
Argentina. Cool! The place where Grog XD was invented!
I'm glad to see more south americans that enjoy MI as I rarely got to meet anyone personally since I started played TSOMI in my Amiga 500. I can see lots of love for the Amiga here in the forum!
In my first post I predicted that mostly Europeans would be at the top, with Germany in the lead. Looks like I wasn't too far off the mark. Although, I honestly thought that the USA would have been at 4th or 5th place.
Well, this game is only available in English so far (and this is an English-language forum), so USA and UK are very likely to be at the top of the list.
But it shows that the German education system isn't as bad as everyone says it is. A lot of Germans apparently speak English well enough to 1) survive on a English language forum and 2) can understand many English jokes.

Our President is a dwarf. Probably clever, but too nervous anyway. ^^
And by the way, Davies, your joke made me laugh. And yes, it was obvious.
