Favorite lines from Suffer the Children?

Some of my favorites:
Louis:"Its not so bad....I mean you've done this before."
Clem: "You've lived inside walls your whole life. You have no fucking idea what its like out there." (The delivery is just perfect)

Louis: "I didn't become a master archer during your brief absence."
Clem: "I'm shocked!"

"You're right Lilly, I am just like him. And if he saw me now, he'd be proud of who I am"

  • Lilly’s entire monologue in the beginning is nerve wracking. That music that plays in the back ground doesn’t help out either.

  • That's great, but this isn't the thread to talk about your feelings regarding Kevin Bruner.

    That is just awesome.

Don't ever say his name. EVER!

The way Clem yells that when Lilly mentions Lee again is fantastic, really shows how much Lee still means to her and how she doesn't want anyone trash talking him after what he did for her.

There are some really funny lines in this episode, one that I liked, for whatever reason, is when Clem goes with Louis and he's playing his song.

What are you playing? And don't say a piano.

Maybe I like it so much because, if I was Louis, that would totally be my smart ass answer to her question.

I also really loved Lilly's whole speech about Clem dying to protect AJ.

"Don't. Don't ever say his name." "I knew Lee better than y-" EVER!

If there's one positive about this episode, there were numerous good lines/exchanges.

Off the top of my head:

    Lily: We've got history.
Abel: Great. You know her, I know her.

    Ruby: That does seem fair.
Assim: Are you serious? That's bullshit.
    Willy: You're bullshit.

    Louis: Anyone here you like-like?
Violet: Seriously? "Like-like?" What are you, six?
    Louis: Seven, thank you.

Louis: Okay, great. That did nothing.

  • Louis: Is that a potato..?

  • I honestly kinda laughed when Mitch said "Fuckin'-A", IDK why.

That and "I would take a big shit on his head."

I laughed harder theway he said “blast those mf’s to hell”

Every line said by Louis. Especially the potato one and "seven, thank you".

  • Honestly, my favourite one will be the exchange between Clementine and Lilly at the end.

Clementine: "You won't kill me. I know you won't."
    Lilly: "Why?"
Clementine: "We were like family once. You won't hurt a family."
    Lilly: (Sad face)

  • "Everyone hears the jokes, the piano... and after that, they stop listening."
I totally understand how Louis feels.

  • Lilly has the most expressive face god DAMN

  • One of the few bits of direct character development/elaboration he gets in the episode.

I wasn’t kissing Lilly’s ass when she had the gun pointed at Clementine’s head.

Clementine: I’ll see you in hell!
Lilly: You’ll be there a good long time before I show up.
    Clementine: I don’t mind waiting.

  • When AJ brings up Clem killing Lee in the beginning of the episode

Clem: "how dare you ask me that, what you did was completely different...I had to do it
AJ: "I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you mad"
Clem: ...I had to do it.....
    AJ: okay
    AJ: I love you Clem
Clem: and I love you back

Now that's a real walking dead scene right there

  • Clem: "I'll see you in hell."
Lilly: "You'll be there a good long time before I show up."
    Clem: "I don't mind waiting."
    Clem: blank stare

    What's more badass than that?

  • By the way, did everyone pick the don’t say his name line to Lilly? I felt the he’d be proud line was much more appropriate.

  • I didn't say he'd be proud because it was exactly what Lilly was expecting to hear. Especially judging by what her answer to Clem saying that was. I preferred to shut her shit down, by telling her not to say Lee's name again.

Louis : "Poor imaginary guy in the woods whom none of us have ever met. I hope you're alright."

AJ: "I've met him. He's real."

Louis: "Rest in piece then, guy in the woods!"

I loved Louis sass towards AJ there, lol.

Clem eats toxic mushroom and coughs
    "What? This was for... Science."

  • While fairly generic, Mitch's line during the burning of Ms.Martin is definitely one of my favorites this episode.
Mitch: "You get all caught up in who people used to be, and you can't deal with what's in front of you."

  • Same, I could breath when AJ said that.

  • "He taught me how to survive, HOW TO KILL!"
I almost shed a tear. My little clemmy is all grown up

  • Seems like a bunch of people let AJ curse. I stood my ground on the no cursing rule so he never said that line in my game.

  • Same and it was kinda hilarious, sometimes when Clementine uses bad words AJ says to her "Swear!", like Clementine used to do to Lee in the first season.

    "Looks like piss"

The first time we've ever heard Clementine say piss. It was quite the experience.

Oh and definitely the line where Clementine says the nurse is fertiliser. That one was funny.

( I don't want to talk about any of the emotional lines because then it will make me emotional :c )

  • Yeah, he said that when I said I was fucking pissed at Louis.

"Why would I go anywhere else, if you're here?"
I mean, damn. For someone who has very little experience with romance, Clementine sure is a charmer.

  • Louis : " I have no idea what that D stands for your hat. Dont tell me , I prefer it to remain it a mystery. But I gonna pretend like it stands for, Don't die. So just uh. Listen to your hat, okay?"

  • Definitely the first quote hit me so much lol. The whole "You'll be fine, it's not so bad out here" attitude when he was sheltered with his community made me really want to let him down nice and easy with the sass lol. That shade Clem gave and the face he made. Good lord she destroyed his ass lol.

"You lived behind walls your whole life"

My favorite dialogue was yet again for the second straight episode Tenn with his deep philosophical mind. The kids just brilliant. He says the deepest shit ever and he's probably the most mature character in the series history and he's like 9 or however old.

Last episode it was his rant that almost made me cry about how he'd forgive the walkers that killed his sisters because they were people once too, and he forgives them and they can be there in his purgatory world where everything is happy. So deep.

And now he talks about how the world goes in phases, and the phases change and eventually they'll be a phase without walkers.

Kinda deep how he thinks the earth refreshes itself. Makes me wonder if it'll happen in real life.

    Honorable mention quotes

"I don't care who you are, you evil bitch"

I hated Lilly to begin with, calling her a bitch was so comforting.

Although I'm on the Violetine ship. I do love when Louis and Clem kiss and he says.

"At the game when you said you like liked someone I was hoping it was me".

    That was adorable.

    What an awesome episode.

  • Same. In my story he sassed off to Clem, and Clem gave him that mother look and put the fear of god into him lol.

I try to raise him as best I can as I would in real life but he really is a pain in the ass. He just wants to punch nuts, shoot skulls, kill, swear and do bastardly things. Not sure where he learned that.

    I assume at the .......

Ranch (The word that shouldn't be spoken hath been spoke)

  • According to Javier, that is a baseball team hat. That D has to be the first letter of the team.

My favourite quote is at the beginning of episode 2, when Mitch threatens Clementine with a dagger:
"The last person who pointed a weapon at me is dead. Unless you want to join him, you'll back the fuck off".
