    From what I heard according to the WARN act there are certain exceptions.

    If TellTale was trying to secure funding that would've saved the company they have to prove a few things:

    That it was trying to secure funding

    There was a realistic opportunity to obtain that funding

    The funding would have prevented the layoffs

    That disclosing the impending layoffs would have prevented the company from obtaining funding

    So it's not really an open and shut case
