Does Brody have a southern accent?

English isn't my mother tongue. I noticed Brody sounds different from other people at the boarding school. Can someone please confirm this?

  • She does, but slightly.

  • Too bad they killed her off so early. I'd like to hear more from her. ?

  • You tell me.

    Ruby does as well.

  • Yeah, definitely the bigger loss.

  • Why did Marlon spare her? Love? It could be...though that relationship would be horrifying from Brody's pov. I wish we could have spent more time learning what kind of personal hell she was going through losing all her close friends and perhaps being told on a daily basis that she is beholden to Marlon for saving her.

That was my first thought about her, honestly. You know, when she actually registered in my mind during the hub.
Which was also when I called her 2nd most likely to die.

    Mm...perhaps?
It definitely got pretty unnerving near the end there, so I kinda don't wanna imagine how it must have been in the weeks after that hunting trip.

    Among other things.

  • God now that I am thinking about it...the situation feels even creepier when he could extort sex among other things out of her. Hello darkness my old friend.

I don't get it. Brody knew Marlon's secret the whole time. She could've easily ruined Marlon. There was no reason for her to live in fear. If anything, it was Marlon who should've lived in fear.

Ruby's accent is far more pronounced that Brody's was. Ruby even called AJ "Sug" (shoog), a very typical southern thing lol.

Also here's a fun fact. The voice actress that voices Ruby also voiced Liara in the Mass Effect series.

  • I think the idea is that Marlon convinced her to just put it behind them eventually, possibly even dressing up whatever might've happened(ironically enough). Thus, Brody did eventually try to just pretend that Sophie and Minerva were just dead since it was probably easier at the time and that there was nothing either of them could've done.
It'd also explain why she encourages Clementeen to talk to Violet--the latter was supposedly warming up for the first time since that happened and she wanted her to at least find something else to think about instead of just holding onto what happened.
