How Do You Feel About Luke and Jane?

Luke and Jane hooking up just came out of nowhere. How do you feel about that? How do you feel about Luke satisfying his need for sex over the group's protection? Do you think that Jane and Luke should even be together? I'd like to hear some opinions on this matter as I personally haven't seen that many people talking about this part of the series yet (There's probably some dead thread out there that used to talk about it).

  • Looking back and deconstructing things over the last year or two, I can sorta see a bit of what they were trying to get at, sort of....?
But just looking at it as is, they were never really cut out for being anything more than a proposed five minutes for Luke to forget about had shit everything is.

  • It was pretty cute, bunch of grown ass adults acting awkward about it. Sad it didn’t last too long but if Jane stuck around longer Luke would have lived, perhaps. Reminds me of Michonne x Ezekial; lots of promise, one of them chickens out, but upon returning, loses her chance at happiness.

  • I don't blame any of them for the stunt itself, I imagine love - or at least chances to act on lust - can get pretty rare during the apocalypse. But their timing wasn't very smart.

As for the pairing itself, I don't really have an opinion. I didn't see them interact enough to get a sense of how they'd work as a couple. I think it makes sense that two young people, who aren't close like family, hook up when the chance presents itself in those circumstances.

    That was stupid.

Friendly reminder that Jane became pregnant because of that scene, and killed herself in A New Frontier.

    Thanks telltale !

I understood it. Jane's sense of morality or in this case, lack thereof started getting to her so she wanted to use sex as a means to forget about it and Luke ended up being the candidate. Hell, I even thought they'd be good for each other. Apart of me thinks that Jane would've equally laid out the offer for Mike if he were the one who went to check on her instead of Luke because it felt like it had less to do with it being Luke who showed up and more to do with ceasing the moment.

All that said their timing was complete dogshit and their priorities were all out of whack. I can't even really blame them because the Teleporting Dead would've appeared regardless. And apparently, the apocalypse seemed to have screwed with Luke's pullout game as well cause he ended up impregnating that female.

    Who, them or the others?

Wait, I thought Ezekial was her master?

  • ...Huh.

Anyway, I was gonna mention that I assumed Luke, Nick, and Jane were teenagers and/or college students when I first played.
