People die with their clothes on, unless they die in the shower or something. What's strange is how the survivors sleep with their shoes, jackets, and even hats on.
So when land after jumping, they won't hurt their feet. And if you haven't noticed, most of them are wearing Reebok Pump. Speaking Reebok Pump, I remember back in the days, you have to buy them refill cartridges so you can refill your sneakers with air.
One reason could be that they want to be able to run right away in the case of emergency. You can't really let your guard down in zombie Apocalypse. But I think Telltale just didn't care to create extra models for the characters' socks or feet, etc as we would only see them once or twice in the game. I think it would be great attention to detail if they did let us take our shoes off.

I imagine walkers without shoes would have ruined their feet quite quickly and wouldn't be able to walk around for much longer. The Crawling Dead just doesn't have the same ring to it.
Also, why would adding stinky, sweaty feet to their already existing odor problems be a good idea?
Someone correct me if I'm mistaken, but I think Clementine had removable shoes in S2 if I remember correctly. Not in the actual game, but some people have done videos using SFM or something like that and they removed hats, shoes, etc. For example:
Maybe they planned to do that but it ended up being scrapped. S2 Clem slept even with her hat on, I think.

Wow! I've never seen that before. Interesting. You can tell how difficult it is to create animation when you see fan works like this. It's very good for a fan creation, but the animation isn't really fluid.

I actually wonder why they still have shoes on, after awhile wouldn't they be destroyed? I mean they walk 24 hours a day (?) For the past few years, they shouldn't have any shoes left at this point.

People have to be ready to move at a moment's notice. Their sleep could be interrupted by a stray walker, a herd, or maybe even bandits. If they get woken up like that they probably won't have time to put all their clothes back on before having to make a run for it. Better to sleep in their clothes than not and end up having to leave them somewhere and potentially die from exposure,

Depends. Most walkers don't actually walk all the time. Most of them seem to get bored and stand in one spot or lie down or something and lay dormant until something catches their attention. Think of how many walkers we've seen in the games that were just sitting or laying around until someone alerted them. Most recent example is the ones in the greenhouse. There were 3 of them in that front room and all 3 were just laying in the floor, dormant, until Clem dropped in making noise and got their attention.

What
Why take your shoes off when you know you're going to walk later?
Walker with callused feet, Ewww??
Taking the shoes off is probably more likely to get ya killed

Even in death, I would still take them Jordans off so they don’t get dirty

Whos first though of "oh shit im dying" is "oh shit gotta take my shoes off"
Cause why not?
Why stop at shoes? Why not undress completely and let your buttnaked walker-self roam around for others to see?

I don't think I know anyone who would disagree. Who wouldn't keep them clean?
"Is that rigor mortis or you just happy to see me?"

I'm tryin to decide if I should say anything.

Silence is a valid option.

Because even in death they want to keep their style

Another brilliant point
It must be really difficult to create animation like that. I've tried to use SFM once but I didn't even know how to begin.

Some are wearing roller blades.
So the other walkers don't make fun. Can't under dress. Eating the living is a joyous occasion and they take it seriously.
