I don't think it would be so much a crossover, so much as certain concepts from DBZ being applied in TWD format. For example, Future Trunks's storyline in TWD format could be adapted into something more realistic and without powers or magic. Clementine's story in Season 1 already parallels in some ways to the story of Kid Gohan in the Saiyan Saga. So then it wouldn't be that much of a stretch to do the same thing again. In realistic format of course.

In fact, this is by design. As far as OC Tristan's design and backstory, I personally took a lot of inspiration from the History of Trunks Special when working on this Fanfic version of TFS. Of course I did apply elements from Clementine's Story as well to make it more realistic as far as TWD is concerned.

My creativity switch is completely off right now, but......Having lost his/her entire community to two troublesome siblings and their bloodlust, the sole survivor has since travelled around the country, seeking refuge in a new community, in hopes of finding a new home and family......
And I guess somewhere down the line he runs into the kids at ericsons, bonds a bit, then finds out they’re under attack by the same siblings that wiped out his community, so he promises to stick around to help take them down once and for all or something.

I’m trying to think how the tournament of power would be formatted in TWD format?
Maybe Lily and Abel, or two other people, had this huuuge fighting arena built. One where there’s hundreds of walkers in a large trench surrounding the stage, and force kids to push the opposing team’s members over the edge in order to win and survive. And those who choose not to participate will be shot.
Or once all team members have been eliminated, then they get eaten by walkers.
When Trunks cried...........I felt that shit Gohan did it to himself though. If he hadn't knocked Trunks out, he probably wouldn't have died. Not saying they would've beat the androids together, but things probably would've turned out differently. I mean, I'm pretty sure Trunks would've died as well, but if I were Gohan, I would've let him fight beside me. We'd have a better chance of winning than if I fought them alone.
Also, if you had to assign TWDG characters to reenact fights/scenes from DBZ/DBS, who would you cast for each role?

nah i am sure of what i said. i don't see what is great of putting a realistic characters with good story telling in the same a world of cliche japaness characters with fantasy mid-core story telling.
i think a TWD x DC even MARVEL would better even tho its not great either.

Lee as Piccolo Against Nappa. Season 1 Clem as Gohan in the same fight.
