What Do You Hate Most About Walking Dead?

Game: Everything about ANF fucking sucks.

Show: The writing is so bad at this point. I stopped watching at the mid season finale of season 4. Later on I started from the beginning and tried to continue watching it but I stopped at the same exact spot. It gets so bad after that.

Comic: It’s so repetitive and there are way too many characters that just aren’t used. Also Kirkman tries to develop characters with the same gimmicks every time, such as killing off a character’s loved one or putting them in a relationship with another character. It’s grown boring and tiresome. The only reason I’m still reading it is because I feel like I have to see it through to the end because of how much time I’ve already put into following the story.

  • Game: Personally I think the game has been the best medium of TWD by a pretty large margin for multiple reasons, but I’m here to talk about flaws soooo... here we go. ANF is an obvious bump in the series in terms of writing (and many other things) but that’s been shit on enough. I think the biggest flaw was Telltale’s lack of gameplay innovation in the series, the formula literally didn’t change at all until TFS actually innovated a little bit but of course they had to wait till the last fucking season. I would’ve also liked to see paths branch out more, the fact that player choice got worse as seasons went on is pretty disappointing. I know these games are only 25 dollars (5 bucks per episode which is actually pretty cheap if you think about it) so it makes sense why their isn’t crazy branching paths like Detroit but they definitely could’ve done better. I also would’ve been completely willing to pay more for seasons if they actually but more time into the game as well.

Show: Worst medium of TWD by far. Their are so many problems so I’m just gonna elaborate on the big problem for me. The shows pacing is WAAAAAAAY to slow, like insanely slow. I know they want to milk the show and save as much source material as possible, but holy shit. If they went through source material a lot faster, the show would’ve been more successful and overall just better.

Comics: Pretty overrated tbh. It’s not bad by all means and I’ll definitely keep reading them until the series finishes, but they’re definitely issues. The biggest one right now is simply the amount of characters, they’re way to many. I constantly find myself going “who the fuck is that again?” every issue and it continues to get worse as Kirkman keep adding new characters. I also recommend anyone anyone who wants to get into the comics to wait for volumes instead of getting issues because the story goes pretty slow.

Honestly i kinda have to agree with that, the first episode was slow but that was a really good introduction to the new characters and Marlon was awesome,it felt like a real Walking Dead episode, and i still think the first episode is the best one.

then episode 2 came out and yeah it slowly became more like a fan-fiction,

focusing more on Louis and Violet instead of the entire cast adding unnecessary romances, they already had a pretty tight budget they should've deleted those fucking romances and give more screentime/development to characters like Aasim/Omar/Tenn.

Talking about that, that's the problem they just keep focusing on Violet and Louis so in the end these two are the only developed characters of the cast.

And then the plot and Lilly just sigh,a complete failure.

Sorry if this feels like i'm ranting now but you get my point.

i might not agree with you on A New Frontier being better than The Final Season but i do agree that TFS doesn't feel like your "typical Walking Dead narrative".

The entire conception feels like fanfiction and not your typical ‘Walking Dead’ narrative.

  • Cool.

  • Game: Everything about ANF is garbage. One of the worst games ever made.

TV Show: Used to be good but got so boring and shit when Season 7 premiered.

Comic: Never read them so nothing to say.

  • Since I see people straight up bending the rule here, I might as well do the same, especially given my situation:

    • The tendency to shortchange certain characters.
    • The habitual backtracking and/or contradiction on major plot elements.
    • If I can BS third general one, poorly justified or unearned whiplash on story tone.

I'm honestly tryin(however lazily) to think of one thing in particular to cite and have to pick from at least three or four general onese.

  • game: the way they killed Lee ( meaning how he got bit). it was just stupid and reckless. if it were me I would have found everyone else first or at least check my surroundings first and made sure there are no zombies around before I picked up the walkie talkie. or maybe move the walkie talkie with my foot first

Late reply, but the real reason for this is that something in your post was picked up by our spam filter (yes, we have one of those)

If something listed in the filter is caught, the post(s) end up having to be manually approved by a moderator.

It's mostly filled with, you guessed it, spam-related stuff; website links, certain phrases, and etc in order to stop spam bots (and yes, we get those too). It's also useful for filtering out mention of... certain words and stuff that you probably know exactly what I'm talking about.

Why can't I post my comment here? I made my comment talking about what OP asked but I get the message that say "Your comment will appear after it is approved".
