I actually quite liked Charity James' take on Elaine. Yes, she was American, but why can't Elaine have an American accent? Just because it was an American accent, it doesn't mean it was bad. She gave a lot of character to quite an emotionless 3D model. James Bond went through a series of accents, but nobody complained about that (much).

I think her voice was a match for the reckless kick-ass Elaine we saw in EMI. I just posted on another thread that I don't really find either her nor Alexandra to be _the_ ideal choice of voice for Elaine Marley though. Though I prefer Alex (I have a thing for British accents, the stiffer, the better), but sometimes her voice is too high pitched for my taste.
Maybe this is only the way I see it, but when I read the first lines of Elaine back in SOMI 20 years ago, I imagined her voice to be rather calm, in a self-reliant way - the voice of a female politician (which she actually was meant to be as opposed to a pirate bride which she has become now).
I think everyone got a different part of the equation here:
Cary Elwes has the look, he could work out and get his body back into character I think
Dominic Armato is Guybrush, and I could see him dying his hair and playing the role, though I have no idea if his mannerisms in real life could handle the part. (Though I imagine being the character for 2 decades he probably could figure it out)
NPH is the best actor of the group, and I think he could grow into the look and character pretty nicely, ultimately I would probably go with him with Armato a close second.
If Justin Long got within I mile of this movie I would kill everyone involved in that decision and commit seppuku.
Yeah, I agree with Irishmile. He's not even fat, so 'swallowing a manatee' is a bit of an overstatement. But, I guess you were talking from the point-of-view of LeChuck; a character who is mean and will say anything to bring people down. So I guess you can use that in your defense, but I'd prefer it if you took the comment down. In face, please do remove the comment.
i don't know about Guybrush, but what about Brian Blessed for LeChuck?
Yeah, actually. Judging from that image, he'd make for a fine LeChuck (visually, anyway). They just need to paint him green and dye his hair black... and possibly set his beard on fire.

I hadn't seen a more recent picture of him before, only know him from Black Adder, Season 1. He definitively has some LeChuck quality. And that enormous jaw goes well with how they designed LeChuck's colossal lips.
As far as I remember, he'd also have the right figure.

"Darrrrrgh! We need his blood to lift the curse of the Aztec Gods!"
That's the cutest Dom pic ever!
....I want to hug Dominic Armato!!
Anyway, my vote is for Dominic Armato.
LeChuck: Yar! It looks like ye swallowed a giant manatee.
Guybrush: Oh yeah! You fight like a cow!
