me too but I do not think they ever mention Guybrush on MTV here maybe its cool over there.
Uh, nope - it's mostly the same musicless reality-show-y pap you get in the US of A (though with subtitles).

Thank $DEITY for gotv, though I hardly ever take time to watch it...

np: Brian Eno - 1/2 (Ambient 1: Music For Airports)

I voted. But how do you know who's winning?
I guess we'll only know it when the show's on TV. Like the Academy Awards, you know: "And the winner is..."

I guess it'll be announced at the MTV Game Awards Live Show, which according to the website is on 27 November, 10-11 pm. Afterwards the results will probably be on the site too.

I just watched the MTV Game Awards. Unfortunately, Guybrush didn't win. :( Too bad. The "Best Game Character" was Faith Connors from "Mirror's Edge" - never even heard of that, but then again, I don't pay that much attention to anything non-MI. ;)

He was second though, as you can see on the website.

Well, it's a first person jump'n'run'n'duck'n'dodge'n'dragahardlyusefulweaponwithyou thingamabob - and easily the most innovative (though not very much) game to come out of EA in years... :D

np: Speedy J - Sabina Seat (A Shocking Hobby)

I cant believe Guybrush lost against Faith...she`s a completely boring character.

Strangely enough I stumbeled into the "premiere party" of this so called "live show", which they had in my favourite tiny LARP/Medieval Nerd Bar "Zum tanzenden Einhorn" ("The Dancing Unicorn" - serious). The complete MTV Game One Crew sitting in this disturbingly unfitting surrounding watching and applauding themselves in this not at all Oscar-like (and obviously not at all live) show. Bizzare.

I could have asked them why they didnt let Guybrush win, but I assume that was not their fault.

Guybrush... Lost? (puppy dog eyes here)

But.. he... All I ever wanted was for Mr. Threepwood to win.

Yeah Mirror's Edge? What? Is that game actually popular? I don't think it's innovative at all - they just hyped up the aspect of maneuvering through a game and made it first person point of view. What's so great about that?

...have you ever played Mirror's Edge?

Mirrors Edge is a great game, the style and looks in grapics.

games that rate highest on my crap o meter so far this year is
    Call of Duty MW2
    The Saboteur
    Battlefield Heroes

Sometimes you wonder if some developers are really stupid, i would feel stupid if i had worked on such a bad game. Sometimes they could use the brain and take the time a game needs to become polished and good.

As we say, because 50-100 people can make a good game in 10 years.
500-1000 cant in no way make a equal or better quality games in 1 year

Quality and polish takes time sadly EA has demostrated since Mirrors Edge, they still dont understand what makes games good, for them it seems they lack the brain power, and they just throw the dices and hope.

I really wish more companies would learn from Blizzard, i rather have one great games, than 2 average or 3 or 5 bad games lol.
