ToMI fonts

edited December 2009 in Tales of Monkey Island
Just for the pleasure of the designers who take pleasure in such subtleties, here are the fonts which are used for the "Tales of Monkey Island" series.

1) Subtitle / Menu / Official website etc.

Weathered SF

It's actually free and is found here.

2) Chapter names

Trasure Map Deadland

Also free, and can be downloaded here.

Still missing is this font:

Trailer font

Anyone happens to know it (or also other fonts used in the game)?

It's "Windlass." There is a free version but we use the commercial version with more variants.

Actually, if you have Vista you can just right click the font and go to Install. This may be true for 7 also, I am not sure.

    I still have XP

I bought this computer at my very last chance to get one with XP from Dell, because I had no idea how long it would take Microsoft to get something out to replace Vista. As it turns out, I only would've had to wait about a year and a half for it to be safe to buy a new computer again.

Oh, that one is ITC Blackadder, if I'm not mistaken.
  • edited November 2009
You're absolutely right, that be it. Funny that What The Font did not recognize it. The top listing is updated.

hope you don't mind me use the 'treasure' font for my website, what font could be better to use than a monkey island one :D
  • edited November 2009
Well, as Telltale didn't create it in the first place, it should be of no problem to use this font. :)

How about transforming this thread from "ToMI fonts" to "MI fonts"? :) Like adding SoMI:SE's MinisterT and etc.
  • edited November 2009
Or just some cool Piratey fonts? This is from that one Pirate movie nobody seemed to like what was it called :p

I think in vBulletin you cannot change the topic attributes (Title, icon etc.) anymore. :)

However, it does not hurt to post other MI fonts here as well. Like Caslon Antique/Casablanca Antique for CoMI/EMI and Minister for SoMI SE.

    Aaaand another question.

What's the font used for the card inscriptions (except for "Sixth Sense" which seems to be just Times New Roman)?
