I want the Chapter 5 in december !!! (please don't kill me)

I want to say a thing to the Telltale team that's developing TOMI.

Please, don't run for developing the last episode !!! This must be the great ending of a great saga. So, TAKE YOUR TIME for modelling, debugging, etc !!!

You don't have to make it necessarely come out within november !!! This is not important !! Quality is much more important !! So, no problem if comes out on the first days of december instead !!!

Do you agree with this ???

    You know something? I do.

Telltale, if it'll make the game even the teensiest bit better, take your time. Even if you won't do it for business reasons.

I'm sure half of us are having mixed feelings.

I guess the longer the wait, the bigger the thrill. :)
  • edited November 2009
I want it tomorrow! Regardless of how close to finished it is!

Even if all the game has, a title screen, and then in big letters the message "Guybrush Wins!!" before rolling the credits I want it now!!!
  • edited November 2009
true! they would do a terrific job if we wait longer :D
  • edited November 2009
sooo you say that they ran with production with previous episodes and they are not awesome?
  • edited November 2009
wavefunction: I think they are awesome, but could have been awesomer. Particularly Chapter 4's ending graphics and sound - wise
  • edited November 2009
The last chapters have been amazing.
But you make a good point in taking longer with it. It could be better.
  • edited November 2009
But would you be willing to wait another... oh let's say...

    nine years?

I don't think its due to rushing; I think its just exactly how THEY wanted it to look and sound.

I could wait till March 2058 if that would somehow improve the quality of the game.

Well....maybe not THAT long but, hey, you get the point, no?
  • edited November 2009
I wouldn't be surprised if they DID delay until December, to make it a Christmas release.
  • edited November 2009
december okay... at the start or in the middle of it!
but not longer and ecpesially not on christmas. I like christmas and i like christmas prestent, but the days after christmas evrybody has no time to play it. So realese it befor so the time till christmas is not so long :D
    (maybe dezember 6.? )
  • edited November 2009
Maybe it could be December 7th, so that from July 7th are exactly six months of wonderful adventure !!!

I really would'nt like a Christmas release, too. I was just saiying that if they want to take some more December days for giving more quality to something, they should do it, and don't giving priority to the "WE ABSOULTELY MUST FINISH WITHIN NOVEMBER OR WE ALL ARE DOOMED"...

...at the end we don't really care of waiting five, six, or seven days more. The most important thing is having a Monkey Island that will be remembered for the rest of our lifes !!!

I'd like December 5th , as it is Sinterklaas (Basically an improved version of christmas) here in holland that day.
  • edited November 2009
I'm somehow expecting Chapter Five to come out in the beginning of December rather than November, so, yeah, I would be okay with it.
Christmas would be a bad time, though.
  • edited November 2009
I fully agree with this thread, but can you imagine the forums if this was to happen?!
  • edited November 2009
Yeah people have a hard enough time understanding timezones try to explain to those people why there would be no MI in Nov.

But have no fear TTG will deliver the game in Nov. and it will be great.
  • edited November 2009
    yay
  • edited November 2009
oh my god. If I have to wait longer than November, I'll die. This game is just too fantastic! D: But I guess I'll be alright if they wait until December. It'll make a nice Christmas gift! ;)
  • edited November 2009
Yeah I agree. I think you should take as much time as you need to get it right, and release it on the 10th December when I get back from my non-internet-having hovel at Uni.

Alternatively, I could just get a man to come round and install a wifi box. But I think it's easier if TTG just change their release date to suit my need ;)

Oooh and they could mark the sixth-month anniversary of ToMI by releasing it on 7th of December; 7th works for me :)

Then we're agreed? Good! Then that's settled. 7th December it is. Thanks, g'bye.

    :p

I'm just going to let Telltale use their best judgment to know when the episode is crisp enough to be released. If they can finish it sometime in November in great quality, awesome, but if they need it to go into next month, no problem. Telltale have been very keen so far with the release dates and whatever date they choose will be fine with me. One more episode until this epic fifth game in this great game series is finished, we should savior every moment.

    I totally agree!

A week of beta testing can turn a great game into a perfect game!
  • edited November 2009
if it's for small things that I found slightly irritating, like how every drink at club 41 was red, I'd be happy to wait for december for it be be fine polished.
  • edited November 2009
Take your time to make this game great, Telltale, even if it means we have to wait until January!
I'm not kidding about that, either.

Maybe they dye all the drinks red on ladies night?
Sorta like all the pubs dye pints green on St. Pattys

Nope. Everything's geared up, end-November should be the date to release ToMI 5.

December I'll be playing the first episode of the third season of Sam&Max. Preferably. :D

I would go crazy if the game didn't come out in November...but... I agree. The ending has got to be great, so take your time Telltale.

    Agreed.

Well, this is somewhat ironic. My birthday happens to be on
November 30th. Which is, technically, the last day for Telltale to release chapter 5 in order to stick to their monthly release pattern.

But instead of chiming in with the rest of the "make-it-my-birthday-present-and-release-it-on-day-X-PLEASE" people, I say: PLEASE don't. I'd rather keep the suspense up waiting for a perfected game which I will have no earlier than christmas.
  • edited November 2009
But would you be willing to wait another... oh let's say...

    nine years?

    Well yes......
But then it has to be the best story ever told with the most stunning graphics and animation I've ever seen. It has to make a lasting impact on the whole civilization. That is surely worth 9 years of waiting.

I doubt Telltale is THAT ambitious though ;)
  • edited November 2009
it would be actually funny to have us wait 9 years and then releasing a raytraced photorelistic game with perfectly polished riddles, douglas adams- and terry pratchett-quality dialogue and a play time of 40 hours riding from melee to monkey island and all the island in between…
  • edited November 2009
I'm sure they want to get it done before December so that they don't have to work on it during their Christmas party. :)
  • edited November 2009
I only hope they don't release during my exams :p Ep 4 was released between two exams and it was painful for me to study while lowering my urge to play :(

But of course, I hope it doesn't come later than the first week of December  that would be too much to wait for... unless they promise it is longer than ep 4 :D.
  • edited November 2009
Like I allways say, when it's out. I'll DL it.
  • edited November 2009
Even if all people here in this thread would agree that a release in december would be better for the this very special game to have a very speciall ending - there still are all the people who aren't posting here:
hwo many of them are as insightfully as we are? What would be the perception they have about Telltale?
  • edited November 2009
Since most of us have already paid Telltale (and most of us paid them in June) and since Telltale said it would be one game per month, with the last game being released in November - don't they have a legal obligation to get the game out in the time frame that they said they would since they've already gotten paid for the product? They said one per month, and we paid for the product having been given those time lines - so don't they kind of have to?

I don't really know, I'm just thinking out loud here.

xmas eve would be sweet becuase it would be fun to play it then.. for me anyway. but the telltale team need a holiday too ^^ i think im going to play MI1 MI2 CMI EMI and TOMI c1 c2 c3c c4 in a row before playing c5 have a big MI marathon
  • edited November 2009
It will be perfect whenever it is released. Like always. The last Episode in a season always was the greatest.
  • edited November 2009
I don't want it to take longer. That isn't to say I want a rushed or bad product, but I'm not going to give Telltale unconditional buffer room either. ;)

(...though, technically I already have. I paid in advance, so they already have my money. They don't need to make me happy anymore. =P)

Who's going to sue them, though? :p
