i agree i would prefer getting a great last episode then a quick ending to the series. also it would be a good idea for them so people will buy the second series if it is amazing
Well I'm hoping they had the whole story all planned out 5 or 6 months ago, so ever month we don't get jerked around to a rushed ending they come up with on the spot. I know programming and testing take awhile, but so far from what I've seen Telltale has done pretty good for a monthly basis. I've seen nothing that conflicts with playing the game (like Quest for Glory IV on a fast computer getting that error 52 message and crashing) and the one bug I remember in TOMI episode 2 allowed you to get the one object multiple times. I'd like it to be released November but if they'd need extra time, I'd understand.
I do feel like Telltale are sort of outgrowing their monthly release model now, in that something has to give.
The episodes they are making now compared to when they started are much more ambitious and while there are ways to compensate for this (having extra staff, rotating lead designers, etc) there has to come a point where their ambitions just can't be realised in a month - and some would argue they're nudging up against that already.
I feel like either they need to take longer over all their episodes or change the way they work in some other way to allow time for polish. Don't get me wrong, I've loved this series, but some of the roughness around the edges has not escaped a lot of people.
It could be sadder for some. I mean, not long ago we've mentioned Duke Nukem Forever here somewhere.
Oh geez! Just looked it up on wikipedia - 12 years in-the-making! More like "Duke Nukem Forever Waiting". I'm glad I've never been a fan of the series.

This.
Seriously, a lot of rough edges and bugs. Of course bug-free software is hardly possible when you reach a certain level of complexity, but right now the bugs are quite visible and do happen to a lot of people.
I hope TT learns from this and changes/adapts its development strategy, which I suspect is pretty stretched by now, to match the complexity their games are getting into (and to keep quality!)

I think a 2 month gap between episode 1 and 2 is a good idea.. Just gives them extra time to polish off the remaining episodes.

I don't think that's necessary really.
Right now their strategy seems to be release chapter 1, while Chapter 2 is half-completed and Chapter 3 is starting to be developed.
They could just complete up to chapter 2 first before releasing the first episode, that way they had that extra month before final release to polish off chapter 1 and can work on finishing chapter 3 before the month is over and they have to release chapter 2.
That means that they probably wouldn't be able to incorporate user-feedback until chapter 3 or 4 though, whereas their current "just-in-time" model is better at that.
My worst trait is being impatient, believe it or not. But I indulge myself in pleasant anticipation and I'm aware that after this chapter, there will be no new Monkey Island game for a while... that makes the wait easier.

I agree with this.

Haha, what sad person would wait that long for a computer ga- oh, wait.

Now please don't kill me !!!
I'd rather kiss you since you started that thread and might have encouraged Telltale to take their time.

The prize is my shotgun in your face.
