    Wow. Maybe late next year?

Whenever it is, I hope it's better. I loved Tales to bits, but I do agree with the people saying that some of the side characters do need to have...well, a bit of a backstory. It'd be nice to hear about where they came from, etc.

    I'm excited either way!

It's not just this.. there is so much they could do to improve the game as I have stated elsewhere. First season a revival, second season a homage to true adventure gaming? Let's have it TTG.

No reason at all that I can see why there shouldn't be a Season 2. And trust me, I've come to develop some kind of sixth sense when it comes to these things, thanks to sweeps week.

    Maybe. :D

They've done it with Wallace and Gromit as well.

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I know this probably means nothing.... but it still gets me exictedddd! =D

That only confirms Season One. :p

Sam & Max's first season was called "Season One" from the get-go. This really doesn't mean much at all.

Yeah, sorry guys, but if you don't hear it from us then it's either an assumption or a mistake.

If any game series deserves a second season, it's TOMI. Let's hope and pray that it happens. :)

I think Morgan has all the back story she needs...I can see that upfront as well. :D

Also I wonder why you would decide to buy the chapters separately
  • edited November 2009

Technically, we did read it in TTG's store, but I know what you meant. :p

Anyway, it also says the same thing under Wallace and Gromit:

the "Season One" suffix appears to be hard coded, a code remnant from our old naming convention.

You may notice Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People Season One, and Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures Season One.

You guys noticed it today because we just started selling single episodes of Tales!
  • edited November 2009
Yeah guys that is not confirmation of anything, it's just a hard coded auto-generated thing in the store that was put in place back when Sam & Max season 2 was confirmed. It shows up for everything that's flagged as a season, regardless of if or not it's the only season. Strong Bad and Wallace & Gromit also have it if you look. We'll tell you more directly if there's a second season.

Thanks for setting the record straight, I love that you guys stay active on the forums!

OMG! I just broke the code! This means that there will be a third season of Sam and Max!

Nah, Mike and I were just both talking about it over IM and replied at the same time. Not so much "too many denials," as "poor coordination skills." :(

@Telltale staff: Just to clarify, I don't mean this as any kind of proof. I'm "excited" in the way anyone gets excited about unfounded rumors.

Errr...I checked, and can't find anything, although I see you're pretty nostalgic about 1-3. Tell me what you mean. And please don't say "2D! Longer! Harder! Baby that's how I like it."

Haha, I was originally going to run a little bit more with the "excited" part, but I figured I was being inappropriate enough as it was.
