Obligatory Dream Thread!
These kinda threads seem to pop up all the time and they're usually fun to read. So have you guys ever had MI dreams? If so, spill it, bb's.
Here's mine: A while back I had a dream where I attended Guybrush and Elaine's wedding. It was really boring, but at the end they drove off in S&M's DeSoto. Sam yelling was at them to get back, but Guybrush turned his head and yelled back "YOU'LL NEVER CATCH US, COPPERS!" whilst he sped away.
I was all like:"Okay, I'm gonna go home now."
There was also this crazy dream I had way before I'd even heard of Monkey Island. I think I was about ten when I had it.
I had just landed on this quiet forested island in the middle of the night. I was exploring the tiny local town when I entered into this bar full of activities. There I found three tough-looking sailors who told me I could be one of them if I did some stuff for them. One of those things was swordfighting, but the other stuff was like fishing and other things that I don't quite remember.
This dream always stood out in my mind because I liked adventurey dreams and I rarely had them. Least to say, when I played MI for the first time, my mind was sorta blown.

and then I saw LeChuck  and he was trying to marry me >.<
and I was running and running so I running but he caught me....:(
Me:"Ahhhhhh!!!!!"
LeChuck:"Bwahahahaha!!!! Now I marry uuu!!"
Me:"Ahhhhhh!!!!"
And I woke up xDD
It was so horrible und creepy and nobody help me =(...
Yawe, so I see a tunnel, yes? What do you think of your parents?
One featured a deserted pirate shanty town at dusk (more like Melee than Kuttin, before anybody asks) where I was pocketing any weird crap I could find, even though it felt more like a first-person RPG than an adventure game.
Another I was in a bar like the SCUMM Bar. I went into the kitchen and saw Guybrush having an argument with a cross between Neptune and LeChuck. The prep table was covered in seeweed.
3) I was on an island like Monkey and the island had a very primative, jungley, tribal feel about it. The villagers (didn't actually see them but I don't think they were anything like the cannibals) stuffed me into a cannon and I was blasted to the other side of the island. The fast-looming overhead (well, bird-view) shot was ace. Whenever I play "Pirates: The Legend of Black Kat" and visit the island of Ravenview where you teleport all over the place, eventually to the top of the island's hill, I get reminded of this dream.
4) I saw the bridge of Woodtick from the same perspective as MI2 and where the woodsmithy would be, there was a building that looked a bit like the weenie hut from the outside. The bridge wasn't there either. Instead, Guybrush was coffinning across, with the (swamp) water level up to just below where the bridge would have been. He entered the hut and the room inside looked like Elaine's bedroom on Booty. She was there and yelled at him to get out.
5) I was stumbling around some ruins of a voodoo shack at night, having just got something I needed out of a chest nearby (I think it was the dried head of a monkey on a stick). Then I fell through the floor to very dusty, murky cellars and was so freaked out I woke up.
6) (This was before I got this far in MI2) I got the final map piece and the cutscene showed LeChuck ambling on the fortress battlements, dark storm all around, in a fit of rage. He spoke facing the camera and sounded like a spoilt child stomping around tbh.
Please bear in mind that these were in my childhood.
LOL! i love the little script you wrote out! made me LOL!
Ah, you zee Mr. hplikelike, he iz working on your qvestionz. Wink-wink.
I don't dream about MI very often anymore, but sometimes I do, and these dreams are usually pretty cool. There's one I still remember very vividly: LeChuck was disguising as some guy again (like Fester Shinetop or Charles L. Charles, just some other guy), and he challenged Guybrush to some kind of competition, and Elaine was to be the judge - and the "prize", of course. One challenge was who could hold his breath the longest. And even though LeChuck was about to win - since he's undead, he doesn't breathe, so he can hold his "breath" like forever -, he suddenly claimed Guybrush was cheating, and wanted to convince Elaine to "disqualify" him, and he went on like what kind of a pansy Guybrush was, etc. Then I woke up. Very strange dream, but kinda cool.
I honestly cant remember most of it, though a lot of it was spent in the land of the dead, with some scenes of Elaine leading a rag tag resistance movement against LeChucks rapidly rising Evil Empire.
Like I said, most of the details left me around 10 secs after I woke up, but I do clearly remember the big reveal at the end. Turned out Elaine was pregnant (when did THAT happen?) with Guybrush's baby.
Hah. Can you imagine that? That would be the end of the Monkey Island franchise I think. Would make them too domestic a couple to still be realisticaly having pirate adventures.
It was very much like this
I think it was probably a platformer but I was still disappointed when I woke up to find it didn't exist!
1. Dreamt that I was playing Monkey Island 2 for the first time but the game was completely different to how it is in reality. There was a whole new island and new plot. I woke up so excited to play this new game but then I realised I'd already played it several hundred times.
2. Tales of Monkey Island: Rise of the Pirate Gods was released and I was talking to a friend about it. I was saying that it was so awesome because it the game was so big it had to be released on 7 discs. Woke up disappointed again.
Who knows, maybe Rise of the Pirate God _will_ be that big that if you want to make a backup of it, you'll need seven discs.
7 BLURAY discs!
I honestly don't see anyone playing this game on the 8th of December if that's the case...
np: Speedy J - Reenter (Loudboxer)
They could port the Wii version for download then put the real Windows version in the post with the DVD in a box.
Aah, guys, you didn't get it...chapter 5 is already there, you only have to find the hidden download link and click it now, so by December 8, you will be able to play.
Quick! Hold down tab!
