Secret of Monkey Island:SE $2.49 on Steam!

For the next 21 hours...If you haven't bought it, now is the time! No more asking, "Should I get it? Is it worth it?" It's worth $2.50, so do it.

The $2.49 games are stealing my pocket change! First KOTOR, then Lucidity, and now this? I got this game for the 360, but for $2.50 it's probably even worth getting again.

Still need to use their client though.

I hate them, it's £1.74 on steam today, and I paid £6.99 for it :S

That's such a bargain..... buy it!!!

Come on...Steam's not so bad. It's grown on me - it was a pain when HL2 came out, but now it is great. Especially with all of these deals and sales they have lately on LucasArts games and many others. They've won me over.

What is wrong with being employed at bodies of water?

    I actually work for Tributary. : )
But no, I'm a long time PC gamer who knows when something has gotten too big to avoid (like Steam has now...). Steam got huge and annoying, but now it's huge and convenient.

I agree they do awesome deals sometimes..... like this one :)

I just figured you worked for Steam because you're supporting it and you posted a link to it's hot deals that end in 20 hours which is the hottest time for sales. RUSH RUSH RUSH!

    RUSH RUSH RUSH!

Also your post sounds like a pitch...

I bought KotOR für 2,50 this week. Great to get a legal copy of the englisch version finally.
  • edited November 2009
I guess I should have posted the link directly to Monkey Island rather than their hot deals page...but their LucasArts bundle is a great deal. $125 worth of games for $50. That deal ends in 20 hours too.

That deal exists for the whole time of this 1 Week every day new stuff-Sale.

And there is at least one game missing if I buy the pack because it is not available in my country. And I really don't need all those games. Only the classic SCUMM adventures.

I already got Loom when they were reeased on Steam. And now I am waiting for a Deal on The Dig this week. *keeps his fingers crossed*

If you click on that LucasArts Premier bundle it says offer valid through 11/30. I'm guessing that is PST. Just through today then.
Steam is also selling Sam & Max Season 1 for $20.99.
Oddly enough, Abe Lincoln Must Die (which is free here) is priced at $19.99 and all the others are priced at $8.99. When you click it it lets you install and play for free. Strange, but still, good deal. Not as good as some of the deals here at Telltale's store, but still nice.

Delightful, ain't it? I'm getting my new credit card tomorrow.

To -damn- morrow. You know, after the bargain ends. Like, one minute later or so.

Thanks for the heads up! What a great deal that is :)

All these sales have caused me to spend much more money than I was expecting to get through today... but at least it's all on stuff I was planning to buy someday anyway. Thanks again for letting us know!

doodoo's getting annoying. It's a good deal on a game Monkey Island fans are interested in. Hell, I'm thinking of re-buying it at $2.50, because at the moment I only own it on the 360. I suppose the guy is trying to be some sort of unsung hero for the working class by clashing against the mighty titan of fan-initiated advertisement, but....well, even that sounds ridiculous.

I've been following the Steam Holiday Deals simply because I know that when Valve decides to run a big Steam sale, it's generally a VERY big sale. I'm not the biggest fan of Steam, I'd never buy all my games from Steam, and I'd hate to live in a world in which PC gaming was completely encompassed by Steam. But it has its benefits, and you really can't argue with that price point.
  • edited November 2009
2.50$ is such an awesome price. If Steam was mine, instead of advertising it in convenient forums, I'd try to HIDE it. Most likely I would have made a discount for one day to blabber about myself and how I am "so player-friendly and cool that makes awesome discounts like that one" a month later, or simply I'd lost a huge bet to do such a thing.

I mean, damn. The best part is, I can't buy it. I can't gain the advantage of this, AND the 20% discount of Telltale Store, because today is not a business day.

Why is their arguing...Can't we just apprcieate each other like we used too. :(

OH SNAP! MI:SE is only 2.50
