"How will the World/ life be different when it's all over?" eh? Well when "it's all over" then I suppose the world will be a very different place. Depends on your religious beliefs I suppose. :D

    ...but seriously. Let's not.

Once episode 5 is done I suppose it will be very much like it was after EFMI was done, only with Tales added to the list of MI games. I'll definitely play them again, and I'll definitely wonder when the next game will be coming. But it won't be the end of the world. We survived (those of us who have been with the series since SOMI) the 9 years since EFMI, we will survive the wait for the next one. Just please TTG...don't make us wait that long for season 2!

I'm guessing it will be the same, but we will look back and remember all of the great things that happened this year with MI. Be glad we all made new friends, shared laughs, got teary eyed together. Life will move on, but we will all be glad for this year.

Sounds like you've spent a LOT of time in here. :D

But, yeah, mostly forums are best when you use them passively..

We shall all be the first humans to ascend into a higher form of being. We will become beings of pure energy, our new home shall be a higher plane of existence. Time, violence, jealousy, anger, sadness, any all other worldly concerns will be divorced from our new lives as Perfect Beings.

And then we all get hit by a truck. A, um, interdimensional truck of pure energy. And we all are going to die. Sorry about that.

Rather Dashing I thought that would be the point at which something would hit the crystal and a shard would break off and we would become split into two factions: the Skeksis and the urRu.

lots of AA type groups will turn up all over the world. but instead of drink it will be coping with monkey island withdrawals

I suppose it will be like i'm feeling at the moment. I'm not giddy with excitement, it's just something i think about occasionally. I coped for eight years without a new MI, i'm sure i can cope afterwards.
  • I think it will be a long wait until the next TT release, but I am confident it will be a good one whatever it will be

I won't be wondering how the story will end, I'll be worrying more about Christmas presents, I'll likely be solidly obsessed with the Muppets for some reason, and I'll have got some more writing done.

I'll also be kind of hot if the weather forecast is correct.

No, that would be "Monkey Island Anonymous", or "Missing In Action", neither of which work.

How about group therapy sessions under the name Monkey Island Lifetime Fanatics? :D

I haven't done enough with my life for it to all be over in 2012. I hope it isn't so. Hopefully I do at least one truly worth while thing before then if it's true.

I doubt that there will be huge differences after December 8th, after all the world doesn't run around the computer games. Coalition soldiers will still be in Afghanistan and Iraq. Russia will continue keeping their troops in Ossetia and Serbia will refuse to recognise Kosovo independence. Swine flu and economic depression will still be there. So, basicly nothing much changes.

Personally I have some other adventure games which I recently purchased and when those are completed I can always buy more or play strategy or RPGs instead.

Sure I have liked the game so far, but at least when it's completed I can get my collectors DVD, which I'm eagerly waiting. Some people here are talking about the possibility of second season, but I don't want to see it, before they have had time to write story which is at least as good as this season has been.

And the sun will keep rising on more beautiful frosty days, with swans swimming in the lake, and kids will still win their first races and guys will still buy their first cars. Babies will still be born and the stars will still shine at night.

There's more to life than what the news talks about :)

And the sun will still rise for less time during frosty days, leaving cold nights during which a lost child can die of hypothermia. Swans may swim in the lake, or industrial waste may leave their habitat destoryed. Many more kids will lose their first races, and many guys will be unable to buy their own cars...and those that do may end up careening into deadly crashes, or get swallowed up by the debt accrued by the purchase. Babies will still be stillborn, aborted, and born with defects, and the stars that shine at night will still generally be the light of an already-dead star an unfathomable distance away, a star whose death may have wiped out a galaxy's worth of civilizations.

Yep, I know, but when I'm trying to describe nature of the certain time period it's usually easier to mention few major events of that era than describe common things which could happen to anyone in any time.

War, pestilence, and money troubles can happen to anyone in any time.
