I love Winslow, I don't care what anyone says.

"I... I like it when you point at the map." *brightens expectantly*

    Guybrush looks almost revolted.

I like Winslow too. But seriously, it's getting annoying...

Has anyone ever thought Winslow could be a stab at Microsoft...

    Win-Slow

    Okay. EPIC WIN.

I'm not particularly fond of any of them, but I only "dislike" De Singe. Winslow is a decent character as long as he only plays a minor role. None of them can really compare to the best minor roles in the series (Largo, The cannibals, Murray, Wally, Captain Dread, Governor Phatt, men of low-moral fiber, Stan etc are all better). That could be because I think The first three games are still the best in the series.

But really, someone should make a thread about which character you dislike the most or annoys you the most (not me) in all the series.

Actually, Stan is considered a major character because he has appeared in every game so far.

I never liked the voice of Stan, it's not nearly annoying enough. It should have been earbleeding annoying, and younger.

Winslow is cool though, his map fetish is also rather funny.

I only like the ToMI Stan

I've always been able to adjust to Stan's voices, but before I'd played any of the talkie games I was expecting him to speak faster. And perhaps shout more.

And although I still think Winslow is an awesome character, I agree with StarEye that he's probably best staying as a minor character. Though I must admit I think he's on par with some of the other great MI minor characters!

Yeah ToMI added two really great second string characters with Morgan and Winslow.

It will be interesting to see how that is handled if Lucasarts ever decides they want to make a Monkey Island game on their own someday... will they include them or just pretend it never happened?

What happened to the men of low moral fiber? They were on a roll! Then they decided not to be in CMI and so forth.

    They were on bread?

    :D

Maybe if Ron Gilbert's MI3 is ever made they will make a comeback!

They didn't decide that. They're just still hanging out on Scabb Island. And since none of the games after MI 2 visited there, we haven't seen them anymore.

    Just wait for season 2...

I hope, hope, that Telltale don't use the same voice actors as from MI:SE (and I assume, MI2:SE)

I see what you did there!

    Telltale didn't make that game.

Lost in translation? On a roll --> "continuously successful". They successfully appeared in every Monkey Island game until CMI.

Uh oh. You know, they had suspiciously little to do with the plot in the first two Monkey Islands. They were more background characters than anything. Maybe they would play a bigger more surprising role in Ron's MI3 - who knows, maybe they were keeping an eye on Guybrush, the escaped deranged circus artist who thinks he's a pirate???

Gee, you're smart. I guess you found fault in something someone else said, then had to correct their absolute stupidity, random Internet person.

But wait - They didn't make previous MI games either, yet used many of the same voice actors. For consistency's sake they may choose to use the same voice actors for the Men of Low Moral Fiber in future games. Hmm!

I don't think the voice acting in SOMI: SE was bad. It was more to do with the writing than the actors. The dialogue was never meant to be spoken out loud, but read in your own mind.

Besides, no matter what actors they use in MI2, it will never ever be identical to the voice in your head. Heck, there are people out there who don't even like Dominic Armato's Guybrush and prefer reading the subtitles and turning off the voice.
