Ack! I just realised this is the last one!

Well, unless Majus makes a I what happens AFTER ToMI. Or ToMI gets a 2nd season.

And maybe given the success of these flash films, I'd hope he'd really consider doing something like this for MI 2, 3 & 4. I mean, his Monkey Island 1 film is still a classic.

PS - Great Job! Majus & Co.

Bravo! Yet another splendid flash film from you guys. Great song too.

didn't know what to expect, so turned my sound systems volume just over a quarter up (very very high, I have never ever went as far as half), just in case I wouldn't enjoy it so much second time around.

suffice to say, when the wall behind me started vibrating when the flames shot up around guybrish at the beginning of the movie I turned down the volume a little bit. you were right, this one is louder than anything else
    :D

rotel rb1070 into x2 bowers & wilkins 683's for those who might be interested.

There's nothing spontaneous about the way I feel about you Suro.

(Woah. Just cranked the creepiness dial up a little too high... Sorry Suro. Time for the ever-working creepiness-displacement-theory)

I love you too Adel and Majus!

    Suro: runs like hell

Hell doesn't run! We just saw it in the flashmovie... quite stationary. Oh, i can't sleep. Too much excitement wwnt to my head and i need to chill a bit, by looking at our work over and over and over again.

Tpravetz...errr, thanks, I guess. Just...don't build me a shrine or anything ok? *awkward momeeeeent*

No, just...ummm... just don't tell anyone about it. And you may ONLY sacrifice Shanghai Chicken on it.

    Will Kung Pao chicken do?

    NO!!!

...so what did you think of the flashmovie? :D
  • edited December 2009
I guess I'm the only one who doesn't like it. (sorry, TTT)

To me, it doesn't feel like Monkey Island. It's like something else entirely, a perception which was certainly enhanced by the music, and almost feels to me like TT tried to do too much, and stumbled at the end. In doing so they overlooked the very simplicity that's the very nature of the flashfilm concept (in my mind, anyway). To be honest, the first thing that came to mind was EMI, or more specifically each one's respective relationship with their forerunners.

What I mean is that this IWWH is to the the first four what EMI was to the first three MI games.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I just didn't like it. It didn't make me even smile, let alone laugh. And I'm one of the crazies who's been refreshing this page continually now since the photo gallery's appearance (the gallery I like. btw).

Lastly, and maybe I'm overanalyzing, but it had an air of something different. The film seemed to be more about itself (and Monkey Island is just the vehicle, rather than the being about Monkey Island, with the film being the vehicle.

Sorry to be a killjoy, guys.

I can only hope that the film varies greatly from tbe game itself in general.

TTG didn't actually make it, it's just a group of fans that has become rather successful here and help work on the project. I thought it was pretty good. The bad guy sounded fairly Murray-ish.

    NO!!!

...so what did you think of the flashmovie? :D

I enjoyed it immensely. Personally, I preferred the TaEoGT, but I still loved this one. The lyrics and chorus reminded me so much of your work, Adel. The Pirate God was very original and funny. Over all, a scale from 1 to 10, 6 being the highest, I give it an 9. Great work!

Perhaps Mr. Majus would like to come help with IWWH'd now? -hopeful look-

    wat?!

Majus, SWP & company, this is amazing! Keep up the good work!

Just curious Adel and Suro. Would you consider yourselves "employees of MajusArts?" :D
  • edited December 2009
I'm sorry to say that I agree with what Anarion said...It was good in and of itself but it wasn't anything like I was expecting...

That was amazing! And I'm happy to hear it was an intention Robot Devil reference. I've always enjoyed the parts of Futurama where the Robot Devil sings.

However, I've watched the video a few times now, and I still can't figure out what "you should've been dead, and now this closure, it's an analytic review" means.

Have you played Curse of Monkey Island?
Guybrush has to die at least twice in that game

I have, but that doesn't make the analytical review line make any more sense.

    A++ Would deal with again.

..But seriously guys, sooo amazing. Like wow. Sad to see the end, but such brilliance.

    Musicals are also my weakness.
