Favorite IWWH video

Most (all) of us love the I Wonder What Happens in Tales of Monkey Island videos. Which one is your favorite so far, and why?
Mine is definitely Rise of the Pirate God. The music, camera angles, lighting... everything was epic and amazingtastical!

Mine is Lair of the Leviathan, because of the origin of the wonderful line "It's meaty and dangerous out there!" with Rise of the Pirate God coming second and Launch of the Screaming Narwhal coming third.

We only get to pick ONE? Man, that's like trying to pick a favourite between my heart and my lungs... I'm really very attached to both of them. :p

Each one of the vids had some pretty awesome/memorable moments:
    1 - "I'm totally distracted"
2 - "Don't worry, I know what to do" (Guybrush holding up a rocket)
3 - "It's meaty and dangerous out there", and "Oh, why don't you use your ANCHOR with mhmhanmnm"
4 - Too many to specify, but "A list of what-nesses?!" springs to mind
5 - The sheer epicness - a slighty darker (but still humorous) tone and an all-singing, all-dancing musical number made it a perfect end to a series that generated ridiculously high expectations.

    So that said, it's a close call between 3 and 5 (and 4. And 1 and 2...). Eh, I went with 5.

It's been a very amusing journey - thanks guys. :D

The song in 5 deserves first place! And Trial with lenght, narwhal in-joke and Stan comming right after.
  • edited December 2009
    Duh, #5 obviously
  • edited December 2009
It's between the first and the fourth, with Lair of the Leviathon close behind. I wasn't particularly amused by Siege of Spinner Cay and I just didn't find the one for the next episode to be amusing at all. But the three I mentioned have been watched over and over again. 3 out of 5 being extremely awesome is not bad at all.

EDIT: I ended up going with Trial and Execution, which it seems for once has me voting for a generally popular consensus. Yay!

I won't vote because I can't decide which one I like best, I just love them all :)

Went with 5th, but 4th is also great.

I kinda regret my decision though, 4th one has the awesome Sam and Max cameo...

The fourth. It was the only one where i actually Laughed out loud. The rest only brought smiles.
  • edited December 2009
I don't think any of them are laugh out loud funny, and I find most of them pretty dull, but the first one was the least dull, I guess.

(I probably won't watch any of them again)

I am also of the disposition that "I can't choose!" My favourites were 1, 3, and 5. Something about those odd numbers.

    ^^^ Teehee.

It feels wrong just picking one...

    The fourth was my favourite.
I was that busy laughing at stans antics in the courthouse that the "execution " part of guybrush when it finally came took me totally by surprise.

I KNEW that one day I'd regret not taking advanced maths in high school. :p

Euler's totient function! I am definitely finding a reason to use this in conversation.

Number one is NOT a prime number. 100% sure.

Number one only have 1 distinct natural number divisor, which is 1. You can't count it twice.

    Prime numbers start from 2.

Say no to math kids. It's bad for you. Or was that meth? Whatever.

I watched Lair of the Leviathan three times when it came out, and LOL'd every time. Same with Trial and Execution. The rest weren't terrible, but I don't care to watch them again. So, for me, it's a tie between 3 and 4 (but I picked 3).

    Okay, getting back on topic...
Personally, I'd like to hear from the actual creators of IWWH and see which ones were their favorite to make AND to watch.
    Come on, guys. :p

I ended up going with four, but it WAS a very tough decision between the last three. They just got better and better! I ended up choosing four because it was chock-full of Stan-antics which were all hilarious, and all five had going for it was the awesomesauce song which rocks. And the Pirate God at the end. He was awesome, too. :D

I loved it when Majus asked me to play Stan! So, number 4 would be my favorite... it really was funny seeing the characters argue and knowing I voiced 6 of them! My folks recognised my voice in only three! Heeheehee!Arguing with myself... HA! Awesome!
BUT number 5 represented a new thing for me, composing for other people to sing! It's a difficult choice, but I think I'll go with number 5 because it represents the TOP of our creative abilities, regarding the series.

Also, this is my opinion exactly, except I think #5 is the least dull.
