shortest chapter yet??

I loved the final chapter... but... it was too short. It has taken me at least 4 hours to beat episodes 1-4 but episode 5 only took me 2.5 hours =( the episodes itself did not dissapoint... in fact it went beyond my expectations (especially demon bride elaine <3) but the length was too short =(

I think the length was about right, considering one of the last puzzles is basically a puzzle we already did in Chapter 4, but in reverse, which for some reason, I struggled with that puzzle in Chapter 4, but in Chapter 5, found it a breeze.

It felt pretty long to me.

I did a walkthrough about every episode and i can tell ya that episode 5 has 14 parts (10 min a vid) and the rest 10-12 so this was the longest in my opinion, but the puzzles were the easiest.

We expected that for some people this might be the shortest episode, but hoped that the fact that it had a new-content-per-minute ratio that's probably measurably higherthan most other episodes would make up for it. Glad that despite the shortness it didn't dissappoint, though! :)

I agree - it felt like the shortest so far, but it was brilliant! My only complaint is about the bit just before the ending... I felt like there perhaps should have been a little more drama when Guybrush lays down the final item in the item in the Centre of the Crossroads, rather than "What a rush!" (unless my comp skipped said "rush", it did have a few cut outs today!!)

I loved it... but I still have lots of questions about the plot!! (But when have I not, after finishing a game? That's the beauty of them, I suppose!)

yeah i felt it was a bit short and a bit straightforward. in that everything was kind of too open and obvious, i found all the items needed before i found how to use them in most cases.

I found it fairly sizeable, if a bit easier than a lot of the previous episodes.

The only place I got stuck for a while was when gatering the voodoo ingredients to open the gateway at the beginning of the chapter. I had actually obtained all the items I needed, but I was convinced I needed the sextant from the thief as the "guide", and kept trying to figure out how I could get it without the thief stealing it back.

Yep my thoughts exactly...I was thinking right when I got up to the
    Diet of the senses
bit that all these puzzles were basically solved before they were even dished out...I also probably would have preferred a new puzzle rather than recycling old ones but hey, minor gripe...

I finished it in about the same time as the rest though...just that this chapter was somewhat easier to solve than previous in the series...

If I remember correctly every monkey island game has involved a voodoo recipe you learn that you later have to reapply in some way at the end of the game.

At least it wasn't set almost entirely in a couple of screens like Chapter 3.

While this Episode felt rather short, I have to say that especially the last 30 minutes including the showdown were AWESOME.
I loved the pace of the final fight and it was tricky, yet not too difficult to get frustrated. I'm still very hyped about the showdown. I already said it and I say it again:
I haven't felt that content after beating an adventure in a very long time. Can't put it into words right now so I'll just leave it like that :D

This episode actually took me the longest out of all of the Tales episodes. This one took me around six hours to complete (I got stuck in the stupidest of places though). But I'm glad that I took a long time to complete this one, I got to savor it for as long as possible :).

Just finished it and was really quite surprised when it ended. It took me half the time the others took. Definitely the most disappointing chapter because of its shortness and the unoriginality of the puzzles - reusing previous puzzles etc. :(

Maybe its because I felt they would make this the longest, especially considering the time since the last episode. It felt a little rushed though and by far the least satisfying of the lot. :(

Chapter 2 was most certainly the shortest. This wasn't particularly hard but so plot heavy that it didn't bother me. When the end came i wasn't left wanting more, it felt like just enough.
On reading that back, it sounds like I don't want any more MI games. I do, but tomorrow. Please!

Yes short, but as I recall all of the last 'chapters' in the MI games have been short.
Didn't bother me in the slightest, had great puzzles, it definetly didn't need to be any longer, anyway.

It felt the shortest in terms of gameplay, but there were long cutscenes. so it evens out.

I thought that 'lair' was easily the shortest, myself. This one seemed about average.

I think it's a matter of relativity. You know what I mean, an hour with a pretty girl feels like 5 minutes, an hour studying, blah blah blah...

I didn't think it was short. It probably depends on how quickly you solve the puzzles, and that's different for everyone. I thought Siege was pretty short, but then that's probably just because that day I happened to have the right ideas straight away.

Anyway, awesome episode! Except that one annoying scene at the end, when LeChuck punches you around the ship. It's just so frustrating... But I loved the Land of the Dead, and the fact that we got to visit so many locations and use so many things from previous episodes.

It wasn't shorter than all the others in my opinion.
This chapter took about the same amount of time as the other chapters for me. I've completed each of the chapters in about the same amount of time (a little under 3 hours) but I enjoyed this last chapter more than the others so it seemed shorter (but wasn't)

It wasn't short, there were a lot of cutscenes and dialogues. It's purely because of the ease of the puzzles. It was like eating junk food, time just passes and you're not aware of it. Then? BAM. Obesity.

...I mean the end of the season.

It certainly felt like the shortest, though it may have been because the puzzles were all really easy.

I see people saying that the Diet of the Senses was easy because it was reused, but I think the problem was that most of the solutions were single items just lying around.

i got all items (apart from sacrafice) before i started the opening crossroads puzzle

Yeah, me too. I actually at some point tried using them on the crossroads circle, and always got something like "This seems like a good idea, but I don't know why yet. I should try this later."
