That's the actual crossroads ?

I was replaying the chapters and noticed that before chapter 5 :

I think it was in the Voodoo Lady's shack.

Yeah, that's her rug. You can ask her about it in the first chapter.

Yeah, in Episode 1 you can look a shrine to Nor Treblig, Keeper of the Crossroads. Nor Treblig is one of the names Gable gives (and is Ron Gilbert backwards). I'm not sure whether this means that Nor Treblig is his genuine name or if it is just the one known by the Voodoo Lady. It's interesting that she should keep a shrine to him though, which implies that they are acquaintances.

Gable looks more like an "opportunist" to me, and a possible impersonator. He doesn't look stable at all, maybe his mind is confused and thinks he really is other people.

Maybe Lechuck stole the real Treblig's shread of life ? That's how he was able to come back, as implied by the voodoo lady ? Since Gable came with a dog if I remember.

I somehow recognized the map during ch. 5 from somewhere. Creepy. Finally the voodoo lady isn't just some shabby background character.

Has anyone else mentioned that Nor Treblig is Ron Gilbert spelt backwards?

My bad, thought I had read through it all, missed that one.
