As long as any future "stitched together" release also contains the original presentation. I'm the kind of person that wants to preserve the theme song, correct opening/ending credits, and any "ad bumps"/Next Episode Previews" whenever possible when I get a DVD set of a television series. The same very much goes for Telltale games, which I'm quite happy playing as separate episodes. No Marathon Mode for me, thanks.

Presumably, you'd still be able to download the individual episode versions from the site, no matter how it was put on the DVD. But yes, it would be nice if the DVD also came with that option.

Maybe, but they are changing the download of Episode 1 to have a different voice actor, so who knows what they're going to do in the future.

Also, I'd probably skip on the DVD if it was some sort of "Marathon Only" thing, unless there was a piece of merch I *REALLY* wanted and I could just toss the DVD into a cart with them(Why not?). As it is, I generally consider getting merch more when the DVDs come around, because I want the DVDs.

It definitely wouldn't be easy to "cut together" the 5 games, even if they used the exact same engine (which I understand they don't). You'd need to take a lot into consideration and change things.

As for the "extra quests" in some games, the difference is that these extra quests have been created as extra quests, and so they're made to "fit" from the beginning. That's not the case with the TMI chapters.

This is an awesome idea, and it's been considered around the office but at this time it doesn't seem plausible for a DVD release. It's a lot more work than just wiring games together, as far as I've heard, so it does not seem like it will make an appearance on the Tales DVD.
We've never had such a seamless story in a season before, so now that the precedent has been set and the seed planted, we entertain the notion of combining episodes the future, with proper preparation of course. However, we don't seem to be ready to do it right now. It's good to know that so many people are interested in seeing it happen!

Well at least it seems like my dream of a "full" Monkey Island game might be realised if TT does continue the series. :D

It might be nice addition, but to be honest (like I have mentioned earlier), once I got used to the idea of episodic game, I didn't notice much difference between Tales and non-episodic adventure games (especially if we compare it to new adventure games like "A Vampyre Story". Next game will apparently continue the story directly from the end of the first game). Storywise Tales is more "a full game" than A Vampyre Story, even if you have to start episodes separately from the menu like in Sam & Max DVDs.

But it seems that small things make huge difference for many more conservative gamers than me.

Quite honestly, I think the majority of people just don't care to vote.

I'd like to see it all as one game, mainly so i can have an excuse to not do anything all day.
i'd also like to see the cutscenes all stitched together into some kind of extremely long cutscene, with more fluidity than the sam and max season one cutscenes, and even the season 2 ones (which were much better)

'spose the best thing will be that there just is another game, whatever "format" it takes.
