I love Vinny Caravella

edited January 2010 in Tales of Monkey Island
Right on the front page of giant bomb, bam! Guybrush Threepwood :) ! Who'd have thought Caravella was so into story driven games? He must have a much longer attention span then you'd expect from the goofy, good-natured guy persona he adopts in the giant bomb videos.

I can say that I didn't see that coming, right on that ToMI made it to the top ten!

    Manny Calavera my dear Watson.

EDIT: Not a correction. Just sound similar. I prefer Calavera.
  • edited January 2010
Is not a giant bomb editor, Holmes.
  • edited January 2010
I was merely stating. Just made me think of that. Sounded like a correction, didn't it? Wasn't supposed to be. Just what popped in my head. Plus, I wanted to call you Watson, Watson.

...Now I want to see that new Holmes movie...
  • edited January 2010
    So...
    SWP is now Adel
    Lena_P is Watson...

    Who next?
  • edited January 2010
    Should we call Captain_Mickey "Finn"?
  • edited January 2010
Did you just edit your avatar Watson? I might have not noticed. Anyhow... Finn? Why?

And I forgot. Majus is Mr. Majus. (Or your Majus-ty)
  • edited January 2010
Noooo ... I've always had a mustache and bowler hat. Because I look just like my avatar.

    Mickey Finn, obviously. Mr. Majus?

"They call me, Mr. Tibbs Majus."
  • edited January 2010
I always saw Mickey as more of a "El Tigre."
  • edited January 2010
Do you mean in the Ace Attorney or Pyschonauts sense?
  • edited January 2010
vinny and ryan did a mini review-type thingy for chapter 2 a while ago and i remember thinking vinny sounded really into it :p

I meant it in the Spanish bad
    mule
    way.

So...wait I have a choice between a crazy phony Phoenix Wright, a wrestler, or a drug?
  • edited January 2010
    Uhh... Sure El Tigre... O_o
  • edited January 2010
    ....But I don't speak Spanish o_o
  • edited January 2010
It means something like "Laundress Cookie." Don't worry about it. :)
  • edited January 2010
Neither did they, now that I think about it. Okay, how about Mouse? (No, wait. Don't want Disney on our ashcans ...)
  • edited January 2010
Or how about Le Tigre, as in the awesome feminist and LGBT-friendly synth-punk band fronted by Kathleen Hanna of Bikini Kill fame? No? That's cool.
  • edited January 2010
No Dr. Jello. Just. Just no.
  • edited January 2010
Wait, "Le" Tigre? Isn't tigre feminine?
  • edited January 2010
El Tigre is a girl, but the word "tigre" I believe is masculine. No Spanish? How about french? "Petit gâteau de blanchisseuse"?
  • edited January 2010
Didn't I mention that they're feminist and LGBT-friendly? Thus the gender mashup.

Wow, now Lena's avatar looks like a character from the Nick Bounty universe
  • edited January 2010
Who's this Lena that you speak of?

Oh! You mean Watson! Yes. Her avatar is Watson.
  • edited January 2010
    Marquis de Mickey!!

....Actually that's too much of a mouthful...
  • edited January 2010
All I need is a trenchcoat!

Edit: Woah, sudden run on posting! 'kay, how about Mackey? Huh? Like Marquis and Mickey smashed up Le Tigre fashion with a nod to 70's costumer Bob Mackie? Because you both ... have brown hair?
  • edited January 2010
    I dig it!
  • edited January 2010
So you don't like "Petit gâteau de blanchisseuse"? It means "Small cake of laundry..." No? Fine. Mackey.

I think a good english translation of that would be "dirty cakelet."

EDIT: Just go ahead and make that my nickname.
  • edited January 2010
Too bad Dr. Jello. You're Dr. Jello.
  • jmmjmm
    edited January 2010
Oh... we now have "Dr. [Lena] Watson" and her nemesis "Dr. Jello"
  • edited January 2010
Just because Juiceman is from Southern California and I'm from Northern doesn't mean we have to be enemies you know.
  • jmmjmm
    edited January 2010
And... I made a minor mistake. Professor Moriarty is Holmes' nemesis not Watson's.
  • edited January 2010
So Juiceman is Tpravetz's nemesis? I thought that was Maxilyah ...
  • jmmjmm
    edited January 2010
Or I could step in, after all is professor James Moriarty, I just have an extra "m" :)
  • edited January 2010
Wait, when was I dubbed Dr. Jello? I'm concerned about copyright infringement. Remember what happened to these guys?
    syt

And jmm, you should be JM Inc.
  • edited January 2010
That's exactly why you should be Dr. Jello! Stick it to the Man, man! (Actually, why did they have to change their name and Jello Biafra didn't?)

Don't say that name in my presence! Stealing my right to dub people with whatever name I so choose!

Anyhow... Dr. Jello is actually someone?! I just thought you looked like a Jello. With a doctorate.
  • edited January 2010
No that's Green Jelly, formerly known as Green Jello. I think.
