The game on disk

I'm from the UK, will the disk still get posted to me and if so when?

When it comes out (which will probably take a few months), we Europeans will also get our copies. I've seen disturbingly high shipping prizes mentioned, though.

Apparently that was a glitch in their website listings or something. I wouldn't expect to pay more than £5. (if that).. Don't hold me on that though.

    *looks at history*

Shipping for me has been $9,95 (S&M1) and $10,95 (S&M2), to Holland, which isn't too far from the UK...

Seeing the course of the dollar second season might have even been cheaper in euro's than season 1 though...

It will take awhile because TTG has to put it all on floppy diskette first for you guys.

How many floppy disks would it take? I'm too lazy to calculate. :0

Some one should do it. That would be amazing.

Nowadays most computers have enough memory that you could load the whole game before playing, just sitting there for some hours doing nothing but changing disks :D  :(

On an unrelated note, this DVD thing doesn't apply if I've bought it from Steam, right? :(

Agreed, jweir. Read the sticky anyway, noob. lol JUST KIDDING :D

Umm... my guess is "yes," you will get it once it comes out on DVD, even in the UK. However, you will have to ORDER IT from Telltale when it becomes available to do so, as they're not going to automatically ship it to anyone and everyone who bought a downloadable copy from them.

Cheers, thanks for the replies :)

I appreciate the fact that somebody else made the joke about "floppy diskette" already. Thanks for that.

I was already planning to come in here and make some note of the differences between a disk and a disc.

Although a disc is technically a type of disk, it's still not the "right" terminology. :p

Just as long as it's not on microfilm, those give me motion sickness.

I'd make a joke about getting it in the form of a choose your own adventure book, but that would actually be pretty awesome.

*waves* I'm game! (terrible pun intended) My resume is a cupboard full of old Fighting Fantasy books.

ETA: Not that I WROTE these, I just played them obsessively in the days before the internets. Except Creature of Havoc, I hate that one.

I'm not up for writing, but I can put it into HTML format once it's written. I've seen one or two CYOA stories on the internet, so I have a good idea of how to handle it.

    Also, check your deviantArt.

(random guy come in) Is someone here talking 'bout Ian Livingstone?

You preordered the game, not the DVD. True you do get the Collector's Edition DVD if you preordered back then, but you didn't have to give shipping info because the DVD wasn't and isn't out yet. You will be asked for shipping info when you actually pay for them to ship the DVD to you, and you can pay for them to ship the DVD to you when the DVD actually exists in a manner to be shipped, which is not yet.
