I guess the whole "grande is the same for both so people assume it's masculine" premise is hard for me when I'm used to Es being symbols of feminine (be it in French, Italian... I think German too but I could be wrong).
Well, German actually retained Saxon endings, so adjectives don't change, as far as I know. I do know that nouns with endings consisting of unvoiced consonants receive an "e" in plural, but that's a different story.
Another thing that bugged me about in-game pronunciations too is the way characters say "De Singe". Guybrush would go as far as anglicizing his name completely to wind up with "the singe", while the Voodoo Lady and of course De Singe himself insist on "d'uh sanj".
It isn't the most memorable, but I liked in CMI, when you talk to the guy on the beach with the map on his back. You can keep on bugging him about how pale his skin is, and eventually he says:
"Look, I know I'm pale. I HATE you!"
It always made me laugh. I love how annoying Guybrush can be to those around him.
Guybrush: Wow, you're pale!
Palido: Look! Babe... I haven't been sunbathing for very long, so cut me some slack.
Guybrush: How long have you been out here?
Palido: Since [seven months prior to the current month, currently "July"].
Guybrush: I've seen correctional fluids with better color than you!
Palido: Yeah babe... I'm not the tannest cat around. But...as you can see, I'm working on it.
Guybrush: You look like you've lived under a rock your WHOLE life!
Palido: My complexion is a little on the light side, I'll give you that. But soon, I'll be a bronzed god!
Guybrush: You've got the SAVAGE pale!
Palido: Please...babe... If you say any more I will become very self-conscious.
Guybrush: Hey! I can see my reflection in your chest!
Palido: Thank you for your keen insight my friend. Why don't you go do something useful now...like inhale a puffer-fish. Okay, babe?
Guybrush: You're so pale, you make snow look tan!
Palido: Be quiet now.
Guybrush: If I bleached chalk, it wouldn't be as pale as you!
Palido: All right! ALL RIGHT! YES! I'm very pale! Thank YOU! There! You've hurt me deeply and you KNOW I mean it! Are you happy? Huh? Babe? Are you happy? Are you happy NOW?
Guybrush: Yes.
Palido: I hate you. Get me a drink.
I love that exchange. It also reminds me of the one with Meathook in Secret.
Meathook: You don't know when to quit.
Guybrush: Neither did your barber.

Yeah, that's the thing about recording lines separately I think. Guybrush hears the Marquis say his name and still pronounces it as though he had seen it written and didn't know how to pronounce it.
I mean, he has no reason to even know there is an N in his name, let alone pronounce it.
Otherwise, the way they pronounce it isn't much of an issue, I mean it's a foreign name so it makes sense they don't pronounce it with a perfect French accent or something, but the inconsistency WAS weird indeed.
I haven't played the first 3, so I couldn't really say anything about those.
But I do have 3 favorites from Escape
Elaine: I have to go declare my self un-dead
Guybrush: Won't that make you a flesh eating zombie?
Guybrush: But I hate talking to lawyers!
Elaine: Not as much as they'll hate talking to your dear.
Do you have any bait that could catch a cold?
And here is some of my favorites from ToMI, I am sure there are more than what I have posted, I just don't want to post them all, you might as well just play the game, it's full of them :P
I definitely got mud in my teeth.
That sock needs a good darning... Darn you sock!
Now if you will excuse me, I got some massive internal haemorrhaging to attend to.
Unholy THIS!
Is that you, mother? I washed my hands...
A welcome back party! I hope they brought Ice-cream cake!
Guybrush: Use... Breath-mints... Yourself.
LeChuck: Is this helping?
Guybrush: Yes, trust me, it's helping.
Guybrush: I will make them rue the day they messed with Guybrush Threepwood, Mighty Pirate!
Morgan: Yes!
Guybrush: And I still don't have a clue what "rue" means...

I wasn't talking about adjective. But my knowledge of German is so weak... I think maybe I mixed feminine and plural. Which is "zie"?

Guybrush: Phhhhhtt...
