me too, but i was just saying all this mystery and stalking reminds me of a soap opera

Your right it does, I really wanna know how they know each other now

You don't remember Kenny? When we first met? You talked to me about your dad and his eBay obsession.

    This was years ago.

We see each other fairly often now. I wouldn't say we're friends, but I see you plenty.

    Hoo hoo!

It turned out we both knew Jess, who you went to school with.

You'd known Jess for a long time though, I'd only met her a couple of times.

    Damn to be continued.....

Yeah, Fury's not lying. And I've only ever known one Rachel that I can remember. But damn if I can remember who I know that she introduced me to, especially anyone who's 6'3" or that I see at all anymore, much less fairly often.

On the plus side, this has changed from scary to just weird.

The thing that bugs me now is how he referred to Jessica as "who I went to school with", implying that we didn't go to school together, but if I met him through Rachel, we would've had to have met in middle school.

Also, Jess is still my best friend, but it sounds as if he hasn't seen her in a long time, but I'm usually with her and my other friends when I leave the house, so I'm having trouble thinking of situations in which I see him "fairly often" without her around.

And then there's James... I can only think of one James I've ever met, but he never would've told anyone to call me Ken. I barely spoke to him. Unless either he was lying about James or there's a James I've forgotten.

    Oh, I'm there allright.

Think harder. One guess left Kenny...
  • edited May 2010
When did I use up my first two guesses?

Can I get a ballpark figure for "fairly often"?

    No.

I'm on my laptop. I can see you right now actually.

    See? I just waved.

And now we're back to "making stuff up", because you're not in my damn window well.

Okay, I have another question. Are you this much of a jackass to me in person?

Why don't you just ask me?

I'm not a fan of your fanfiction, by the way.
  • edited May 2010
You could say I've known you since 21/7/2004.
  • edited May 2010
Come on Kenny, you big Otaku. You know who I am!

    Now guess! Last chance!
  • edited May 2010
I'm not a fan of my fanfiction either. I can't even stand looking at it anymore.

Okay, in summer of 2004 it'd been two years since I'd even seen Rachel, so I'm pretty much back to square one here. Seriously, for trying to get me to guess, you're really making your identity even more elusive with each new piece of information.

You've had plenty of hints. I guess I'll have to tell you who I am later.
  • edited May 2010
It's hard to call them hints when they all seem to conflict with each other and set me back even further.

Edit: I just remembered the other Rachel I've known. That helps with the conflicting information. But I'd just barely met her by that point. I'm going to have to start making notes here.

This is getting annoying. Come on.

    I've known you since 21/7/2004.

    21/7/2004.

That's a HUGE hint. Think sensibly for a second. Logically. You can do it.

Seriously, this idiotic discussion belongs in personal messages, not in a completely unrelated thread on a Monkey Island forum.
  • edited May 2010
I agree with you that it doesn't belong in the Monkey Island forum, but I'd also say it'd be okay in General Chat. But we're almost done here.

July 21st, 2004? The summer after my 10th grade year. I'm sorry, but I can't remember anything eventful about that summer, much less the significance of that date.

Based on the timing and the rest of the information, though...you can't possibly be Chris, can you?

I once had a Xanga, but that's it. I refuse to join MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, or any of those. What, you're not thinking of Gaia, are you?
  • edited May 2010
Well, now that you've brought up that embarrassing part of my past, I'm starting to think I didn't even leave the house on that day.
  • edited May 2010
Jesus Christ people, how hard is it to carry this over to PMs?

    This isn't your personal forum.
  • edited May 2010
This conversation has been both terrifying and interesting.

So he knows you via your web journal?

(this is why I am so happy I don't use the same username for more than one thing)
  • edited May 2010
Personally, I'd be happy if a mod split the topic and moved it to General Chat, but I see no reason we can't have this discussion in the public part of the forum. So far there's only been two objections and a few people are actually enjoying watching it play out.

And no, he doesn't know me from the journal. I'm not sure what the significance of linking that was. No, he was definitely introduced to me in real life. I just don't know when or where or who he is.
  • I'm actually finding this fascinating... >.>
I just want to see if you really do know him or if he's messing with your head big time.
  • edited May 2010

    I live in Australia! Woo!

In NSW actually. I went to Canberra and QLD twice, but I've never left the country....

Or maybe Australia is all a lie?
  • edited May 2010
Australia is a lie. You wouldn't know about Rachel or Jess.

Australia is a lie. You wouldn't know about Rachel or Jess.

    The Australia is a lie?

I've been saying it for ages. Why would I lie?!?

Maybe I just know... things... about your life. Just maybe. I know quite a lot, actually.
  • edited May 2010
This is ridiculous and it's gone far enough. You know things about my life you couldn't possibly know from searching the internet. You've proven that you know exactly who I am. And you've given me bullshit clues to your identity, and at this point I'm not sure which of them to believe. And all the while, we've been clogging up this unrelated thread.

So I think it's time to finish this. Either cut the crap and give me something I can actually use to figure out who you are, or just tell me.

Yeah, this has gone on far enough. You're becoming delusional.

I just read your blog. Pulled out a few names from there, mentioned a couple of random facts, and you were convinced I knew you.

    Man Kenny, you are paranoid.

I thought it might be that. Your blog has the name Jess and Rachel in it, just on the first page.

Yeah, it does. I thoght Rachel was his girlfriend, and I was gonna say something, but I wasn't 100% sure.

He mentions his dad and Ebay later on.

Mwahahahaha this was fun. He actually believed me, Fury, the most hated forum member on TTG.
  • edited May 2010
I really should've known better. I barely interacted with Rachel back then, and now I see her once a year at a convention. I thought it was impossible that I would've mentioned her online. It never occurred to me that I might've mentioned her in the con report the year we had stayed in her hotel room, even when I noticed that report on the front page of that ancient journal.

I learned something today. And I don't just mean that Fury is a complete jackass.
