301 Final Showdown Help

Alright, I've
plugged the cord into the toybox
and
turned up the boiler
.
Skun'ka'pe is hanging onto the bar
and I'm not sure what to do next.

edit: Nevermind, just figured it out.
Undone by his own greed, should've caught that sooner.

It's funny (ironic?) how they want to make the puzzles less "random clicking with your inventory stuff on everything" and that's actually a perfect way to solve this one... :p

You know what I don't know at the moment?
Heating the boiler or plugging the cable to box does ANYTHING? I did those before solving the puzzle but... How are they important? Or are they there just to confuse people?

    You serious?
Plugging into the box gives the dementional-thingy power to work, and the boiler makes the Mole sweat, so Skunkape slips on it.

    Wait, I
plugged the machine into the power outlet. How do I plug it into the toybox?
  • edited April 2010
    No, no, the
machine goes into the outlet. The plug for the toybox can be found hanging vertically to the left of the toybox itself.
    They're two separate things.

    I've
plugged the rift generator into the power outlet
    and
plugged the cable into the toybox
but I can't figure out what to do now. Sam keeps saying
"There's got to be something in this city with the unholy power we need to power up this invention"
but I thought I already did that by
    plugging these things in
    !!!

What the heck do I need to
    do
    in order to
    proceed
    ?!?
  • edited April 2010
Eh, yes. Probably a small glitch in the hint system. What does Sam say when you look at the electricity box (whatever it's called... where you plug the device in)?

Now all you need is deliver a badge...

    BUG!!!!

    I had to
go back to the spaceship and put the badge on Skunkape, and then teleport back to the sewer
and then I was able to finish the game.

Because of the stupid incorrect hint I was given I wasted about half an hour
trying to figure out how to restore power in Sam and Max's office building
    .

Between Sam flinching repeatedly when an object behind him is selected,
Max standing in mid air in the Penal Zone
, my Windows cursor disappearing when that window appears when you quit the game, plus my above issue, this is undoubtedly the buggiest Telltale release I've played yet.

Ehm, did you already planted the badge on Skun-Ka'pe before?
If not... I am not quite seeing the bugpart (well, there is the incorrect hint then).

Also, I *think* Max in mid-air is intended there, although I am not sure about that...

You have to do that too. You didn't waste that half an hour, seriously

Yes, the incorrect hint is the bug I was speaking of.

I'm pretty sure I'd already done that, though. Unless I'm mistaken, in which case I apologize and take it all back!

I did that and Sam's all
"betcha can't get it from me!" and Skunkape just got back to hanging...I clicked everywhere too. The future didn't give much of a hint...other than "Keep away from the big monkey! anyway.

    Edit: Never mind.

Since you have to plug the Devil Box, obviously that hint it's not a bug, just you forgot the first part of the intructions from Momma Bosco.

    Edit: 1000 posts!

I don't really think that is something to celebrate

    GinnyN, spoiler tags??

Either I'm not making myself clear or you're not understanding me.

I was getting a hint for the problem I had already solved. I was stuck on the next problem and Sam kept saying something misleading, so this caused me to assume I had missed something. The solution to the problem I was on did not correspond at all to what Sam was telling me to do.

    Bug.

Ah, thanks for explaining why what I did was relevant. I really didn't get why I had to do that. The puzzle kind of fails when you are just making the future happen, aye?

    Edit - nevermind.

I know exactly what I have do do, but I can't figure out HOW to do it. -.-
    To be more precise:
I found out on my own that I have to
make the mole people sweat by turning the boiler up
, but for heaven's sake I can't find out how to
    turn the heat up
! Clicking it just lets Sam talk a bit about it, but he does not change anything. And none of my items can be combined with it. And Future Vision doesn't let me choose it. (Though choosing the mole people delivers a related vision.)
I can't leave the place to look for some fire wood or other stuff, either. Is there a bug, or am I just missing something???

(I have already done everything else there is to do:
All future vision objects have been examined, both the toy box and the zone creation thingy are plugged in, Skunkape is in the room but showing the paddle toy to him does not do anything as the sweat is missing.
    )

Look carefully at the boiler. There is another object to click on it...

Thanks a lot, I'll have another look.
