So it seems a lot of people are being introduced to Grickle

Is this the reason people seem to be talking about him, or is he even more than the game artist? Even his own blog seems to be vague about what he's actually doing.
His stories are amazing, and I would absolutely love to see them in game form.

I'm not sure what you're asking.

I was just wondering if he was going to be a writer as well, or maybe a consultant like I believe Purcell is with the Sam and Max games.

The FAQ has some insight into it:
How is Telltale working with Graham?

Some have called Graham the 'creative instigator' for this project. He pitched many of the seminal ideas for the game to Telltale and the game is heavily influenced by his visual style and storytelling sensibilities. Telltale has been collaborating with Graham on the full game characterizations, story and game play scenarios.

Also, the developer video talks about Graham Annable and his role in development in the video on the Puzzle Agent page.

Also Grickle isn't a person, it's just the name of his uh....... cartoon style/world.
